Scenic Thyssenkrupp HIGHdraulic Elevators at The Four Points by Sheraton WestShore, Tampa, FL

It's definitely not everyday you find an 8 STORY HYDRO, especially in a big hotel with a Huge Atrium! I seriously wonder why this place didn't install Traction, I'm guessing for financial reasons, but no clue. Still, it does cause elevator service to be slower, and as you can see, 2 of the elevators in this hotel were out of service for some reason....
At least the elevators that DID work ran well, although they took FOREVER to level, but otherwise they run well and offer VERY NICE Views of this "Embassy Suites Style" Atrium. These were originally General Oiltronic Elevators judging by the outer doors, but modded within the past few years by Thyssenkrupp. The mod is fairly nice, but as always, I wish they were still original, and to be quite honest, I'm getting quite tired of seeing Kruppy mods as almost everything in the Tampa Bay Area has a Kruppy Mod or is getting one at this point..... But anyways, I hope you enjoy the video of these Very Nice 8 STORY HYDROS offering nice views of this fine hotel! This place used to be a Sheraton Suites but recently became a Four Points by Sheraton.
Installed: Circa 1960s or Early 1970s (General Oiltronic)
Modernized: Circa 2010s (Thyssenkrupp with New Motors, Controllers, MAD BS Classic fixtures, New Cabs, Lanterns, etc. Only the outer doors were left original.)

The Embassy Suites by Hilton Indianapolis North has AMCO elevators from 1985, and they're also 8-story hydros. There are 2 sets of elevators, and 1 set is original, and the other set is modded.

There is an Embassy Suites near me that has an 8 story hydro but it's pretty crappy. This one seems to run very nice tho! Awesome find

Personally, I’m never disappointed with modern day TKE mods. In Portland they’ve been modding many elevators in parking garages, including the ones by Pioneer Place. There very impressive and smooth as heck. Anyways, nice video.
