Hey guys! I hope you've been holding up okay 💛 Here is a productive, messy week in my life vlog. I wanted to film a really honest look at what my week looked like, and we certainly got just that hahah. This week I started developing a new writing routine--no longer super early in the morning. And I talked a lot about productivity, juggling a full time job / 9-5 with writing and being creative. Annnd I broke my hair brush. Hope you enjoy the video and have the loveliest of days xx

I love discovering fellow writers (or creatives) with a day job! I often find I can’t really relate with the stereotypical creative who has all the hours in a day.
Thank you for being honest. I think everyone of us has bad days and just overwhelming times and vlogs like that are helping to understand that no one is alone in this. It happens to the best of us.

You are always calm and inspiring. I am not usually leaving out comments, but when you mentioned burnout, I really felt the need to thank you for your honesty. Most of us go through though periods and we tend to hide it or fake it, until sometimes we end up lying to ourselves that we're ok. Take care of yourself and thank you for all your amazing content!

P.S. When I finished filming this vlog, I thought it was going to be a MESS. But It turns out, I actually really like it 😅 I was a little worried about talking about my ~failed~ Saturday, and how I felt a little overwhelmed and had to give up on what I was working on. I don't ever want to whinge or be a downer for other people, but I wanted the vlog to be honest and realistic. Sometimes, stuff like that just happens. Sometimes, things go wrong and life forces us to take breaks, and we just need to eat pancakes for lunch and go watch The Office and try again another day. Anywho, I hope you enjoy the vlog! I really appreciate the pure honesty in this video! I do come to your videos for the calm, cozy vibes, and it is so refreshing to watch each one! This one was also a beautiful vlog!
And I think it's really special for you to be able to open up about just having an off day. Everyone needs to be reminded from time to time that NONE OF US are perfect, and none of us have a perfect life. You don't have to film the imperfect parts or share them all the time, but I think it's good for everyone to remember that those off days where you're just not feeling it do happen. :)

To me it's more calming when people are equally open (as much as they are willing to be) about their struggles with life balance/productivity/writing as they are with their successes. We've all had those days and it's nice to know/be reminded that we're not alone. I cried over split oatmeal once.
I love how you talk to us in the middle of your videos too. I rarely know any other UA-camr who's made 'a week in my life' video and has taken time to be real with us for a little while, everyday, and just talk. ♥️

Really loved this video and your honesty about the challenges of trying to balance a 9-5 and creative work. I've only just started making YT videos consistently and although it's really fun it's definitely a juggling act alongside work, health, relationships etc.! I honestly love the way you balance all the calming cosy content with the reality of being human and stuff going wrong and not working. Though I hope you make that doll's house in another video sometime because it looks soooo cute! 💛

Hey Christy, let me just say that your videos are honestly always beautiful and so calming, and you not being positive all the time does not make you annoying or anything along those lines. You are human and you are amazing and I just want you to know that I really appreciate the fact that you're so hardworking and kind and sweet and always doing your best! You always tell us to take it easy and to take care of ourselves because our health is more important than being productive all the time, and I want you to remember that the same goes for you, alright? Over in the UK still in a lockdown and living life virtually through other people's vlogs doing normal things like going out for food and im very jealous . it seems were stuck in a never ending cycle this side of the pond . I throughly enjoyed this vlog it was so nice and calming :)

I have one of those mini-house kits too! Picked it up in Tokyo ☺️ It's so cute but it's taking me literally months to do - I just tinker away at it every now and then. I didn't know it'd be so detailed! But you're definitely not alone in feeling overwhelmed by it, I had a similar experience with thinking it would take a day and then quickly getting frustrated haha. Thank you for honesty, Christy, I'm moved hearing your thoughts and watching your videos. Burnout is a thing and I hope you can find some time for yourself, you go girl! Also wanna ask, how often do you submit for a contest? I know some contests are paid and I still consider whether it needs that often like a contest-hunter or I just spend time to sharpen my skill and submit when my works are worthy.
When I have days like your Saturday, it's a clue I need a do-nothing day. Those days are productive even if it doesn't seem like it. LOL

You have a lot on the go, and I think you are handling it all just fine. I have worked very part-time for many years now (I'm home with my kids) but I had worked full-time for many years before, and I have not forgotten how difficult it is to juggle everything. It is -31 here on the Canadian prairies this morning--it would be nice if we could share a bit of this cold and your extreme hot to make a happy medium =)
