The Art of Scratching and Juggling became such a niche thing. It kinda got lost in time, witch is a bit sad. But now there is a revival and older guy's are still king. I think it got lost when Rappers stopped working with Turntablist, I hope that thing comes back more than bringing back the Boom Bap.
Jeff is exactly correct music is subjective its about what the person likes-What ever moves you groves you.. Personally i hate alot of this so called music of today especially the Hip-Hop but thats just me. Many of these "GenZees" dont even know who Jazzy Jeff is thats because they into a whole different form of what THEY call music and most ironic-strange is how this New music hits the Bill Board top charts.. 🤔👌
Jeff, I started DJing 30 years ago after listening to “He’s the DJ, I’m the Rapper”. I can’t thank you enough for being my inspiration to do this. I’ve had so many amazing experiences over the years as a DJ and they still continue to this day. You’ve had such a monumental impact on hip hop. Can we expect to see you doing anything in the house music or dance music world this year?
First of all, I absolutely love Jazzy’s shirt! I’m gonna have to ummm…. borrow that design for an upcoming Festival I’m spinning at in July. Secondly, a dog named Remix, is awesome! Lastly, I am buying this course! I’m a 30 year Pro DJ veteran who’s very good at mixing music…. but I SUCK at scratching. Hoping this class will take my DJ skills to another level.
I'm with you Disjokk all I can do is baby scratch plus i've been out of the business for 10 years. Right now I think it's better than ever with the new AI tools available. I once was a mobile dj for 13 years and a beginners at home music producer. I also have a little experience with engineering live performances and I'm looking forward to trying out the new logic pro for remixes. With the new AI features I can make new remixes in jazz, southern soul, R&B, and afro beats for my own personal gatherings or gigs. Sometimes I'll mix stems from hip hop songs with the genres i've mentioned especially the drums. I can now take the melodies of instruments from songs to either use them as they are or turn them into MIDI notes to be used with other instruments for my remixes. Right now i'm trying the new beta version of Serato 3.2 effects features.
I met jazzy Jeff when we did a show in 1986 when signed to street sounds and we killed the show so much so their manager wanted to take us and tour with them...sadly it didn't work out but shaking his hand and meeting him fresh prince was such a great moment. Love to jazzy Jeff and Phil DDT...the original faze one DJ Chin.🙏🏽👊🏽👊🏽👊🏽👊🏽
@@digitaldjtips Indeed ahhhh Iam getting an interview done at some stage about it all ...my problem is recalling everything now as Iam an old codger 😂😂😂 keep up the great work Phil.👊🏽
Oh no! What if I already bought your scratch course? If I would've known there was a scratch course coming from a legend like Jeff, I would've waited. 😭😭
Once again the greatest of all time
We agree!

2:11 I’m guessing it’s best to avoid pressing the sync button whilst playing on the boat 😊
Ha!
Always remember folks, never get off the Boat. Absolutely. God Damn right. Unless your going all the way.....
good advice
Guess it was a bit of an obscure Apocolypse Now movie reference after all.
👍👍👍👍👍
How much overlap is there w your other scratching course?
Very little
What a great DDJ Tips episode. Thanks Phil and Jazzy!
Thanks Nick!
Now you’re good
Jeff big up…’Uncle Phil’ never throws you out the house…😂
No I am better behaved 🤣
Do you have to pay again if you already got the first course
New course, so yes - it's different, not a replacement
Some parts of it should be in scratching
Hi that t shirt Jeff is wearing, is it available to purchase?
No idea it’s cool, isn’t it?

I was at that first FORCE Tour show in Baltimore and I brought a Jazzy Jeff t-shirt!
Great :)

They are very different courses, and they will complement each other very well. We have a 12-month money back guarantee on all our products.
@@digitaldjtips Thanks for the reply, and I'll be there! Any idea on a release date? I'm really excited about this :)
Phil’s got the craziest analogies…😂
Ha ha sometimes, yeah!
Better.
