The last 3 songs are my personal favorites 🥹 I always gets emotional with Dear H honestly Xdinary Heroes discography's AMAZING. Really.

Dear H was written by lead guitar Junhan (aka Hyeongjun, whose name starts with an H - but maybe the H stands for 'heroes'), talking about his experience being an introvert and learning to open up to the other members :) That's his solo there, too (well, the solos are always his, but that one is particularly special)
I'm so glad you're so interested in their discography! Good enough is a very special song, it was written based on a poem that Gunil wrote for an unrequited love from the past. They chose to keep the lyrics in English so they could express the song's message in a better way. Dear H's MV is related to Good enough, being like a continuation of it. The "H" in Dear H stands for Hope and the song was mainly composed by Junhan. At the time Good Enough MV was recorded, Junhan was feeling sick so he was unable to participate in the recording. So they decided that for Dear H's MV he would record some separate parts and act so that it looked like he was filming the members the whole time. In other words, the two MVs show the members from Junhan's point of view. He said that he wrote the song while he was going through a hard time and that the lyrics represented how he felt and also how he sees the members. That's why there are the final scenes where he holds a camera. :)
I know you’re excited to pick a bias and everything but I definitely recommend getting to know them a bit better because them being a band makes things a bit different (not all of them sing as often especially Jun Han and Gunil) I recommend checking out a guide, there is one uploaded literally a few weeks ago and it’s amazing, The ultimate guide to xdinary heroes by this peach leaf, you will learn more about the band as a whole and also get to know the members better! My biggest flex right now is that I know how to play part of good enough on the keyboard (for this song you have 2 different sets of notes one for each hand and I only know the left hand part for the entire song. I'm working on learning the right hand part though)

i remember in the build-up to Deadlock, when they dropped the album instrumental sampler and i realized that Good Enough was a ballad (i don't recall the snippet of Dear H sounding like a ballad) i was SO scared. i'm not a huge fan of ballads in general, but with rock ballads specifically i'm Very picky. so Xdinary Heroes' first venture into slower sounds was terrifying to me, because i found their discography so good, i didn't want them to have some mid, forgettable ballad number. but Good Enough, Dear H, and every ballad they've released since have made me eat my fears time and time again. truly masterpieces!

I haven't been able to choose an album as my favorite. I'm physically and mentally unable to do that 😭 They leave me jaw-dropped with each comeback. And just when you think they can't get any better, they outdo themselves. Good Enough truly is a masterpiece! It was the first ballad they did, I believe. Wasn't expecting it at all. And even better, wasn't expecting it to be in all English. The execution of the song!! The string instruments, the vocals! It's just perfect.
I really dislike acoustic ballads cause they're just sooooo boring to me, so when I first heard the teaser instrumental for this one I was worried. But XH has the most insane vocals, so it was a HIT. And the full instrumental is very Studio Ghibli. If this was sung by any other artist/group, I'd be bored. I much prefer more rock ballads like Dear H. I'm not here to tell anyone what to like, but it frustrates me JUST A LITTLE, that a lot of people choose Good Enough as their favorite XH song. They're a rock band 😭 It's probably just cause I'm a ballad hater lmao. Jungsu is definitely my favorite vocalist. Jooyeon is undoubtedly amazing, but Jungsu's voice is so pure and piercing and heavenly. But my bias is Junhan. His skill in playing the guitar is unmatched, and his personality is soooooooo cute. Although lately he's been an absolute MENACE, attacking Villains with every picture with his new confidence and styling.
