- Blizzard came through with some more interesting affix changes. Deleting frenzied and adding voidbound is a pretty interesting decision. Frenzied didn't feel like an expansion level affix change. Voidbound feels a lot more interesting in that regard.

Imo the new Xal'atath affixes should be thought of as kind of an m+ arcade mode. Stuff that isn't overly important or mechanically deep, but fun side stuff to keep things fresh. Frenzied definitely failed at that just cause it was so passive that it didn't feel like much of anything. They mention wanting to highlight different class utility at the bottom of the post, but I really disagree with that design angle for these for-fun style affixes. Sure certain damage profiles would technically be good for Voidbound, but everyone can interact with in (i.e. do damage) the same way everyone can CC orbs on the other affix, and for affixes designed for low level keys having stuff that everyone can interact with is important. The truth is 99% of players playing at the key range these affixes are on care way more about pugging a group without it taking forever over having certain specs for affixes, so the potential complexity of niche affixes like afflicted just end up being annoying. It really is as simple as attaching damage buffs to basic gameplay mechanics like damage, stops, positioning, etc. that way no one feels bad about not being able to interact with something. It may not be perfectly balanced, but who cares, its a weekly +8.
I don't get why they would do Crit Chance for the buff. Crit doesn't benefit everyone equally. They should just do 20% more damage? Why is this like pulling teeth. They just can't stop trying to sneak things in that don't affect everyone equally.
The other affix gives haste, which also doesn't affect everyone equally. But as opposed to the previous affixes, this still gives *some* benefit to everyone.

Nerf tyrannical and fortified values by half
i think even on current fortified, mobs die too fast and bosses live too long. Don't remove fortified. Make it the standard.

Why do all the 30 something WoW content creators use "whenever" exclusively and never use the word "when"? They aren't interchangeable.
sucks to be anything other than 30 something. tell us more about it whenever you're 30 yourself

The words nerf and buff don't make sense when talking about testing changes. It's not live yet how could it be buffed off nerfed
