It's refreshing to see the way athena and ares interact in this animatic. They truly seem like a brother and sister spatting over something, then coming to an agreement. The smile on Ares's face as he and Aphrodite send Athena on is such a wonderful detail, and Ares looks like he's going to fight Zues for hurting his sister like that. The unbridled rage building in his face and stance is beyond impressive It feels very cathartic

OKAY I AM UNWELL AFTER WATCHING THIS! I love how each god has to give Athena the next ornament/little figurine in order to progress to the next level. It really shows how she has to earn their approval rather than make them agree with her. Zeus towering over her in every frame and making sure she feels smaller than him is such a good touch. He needs to be the biggest god in the room because he is the king and therefore thinks he has to embody the sheer power. His hair being the clouds! Apollo having his strings on his hands is so cool! And that he’s actively strumming to the music of the song he’s in. He also is the most relaxed of the gods (literally just chilling in his hammock). Hephaestus being able to walk through the fire but Athena having to use her shield to protect her. And the fact that he was making the next figurine anyway because he was just gonna let her advance is actually kind of sweet. He just wanted to have someone to chat with for a bit 😭 Aphrodite looming over Athena at the start even though she’s shorter to show that she will be much more of a challenge than the other two gods. And she actually looks angry, not just sad. Ares little kisses then blushes when he’s next to Aphrodite!!!!! (Ares: hey babe, I just need to beat up my sister real quick). And the septum reminds me of how his animal is also a boar. Love the soft giant Ares! Hera out here just having a good time and vibing while Athena is uncomfy with dancing. And how Hera flickers in frame when Athena says Ody never cheated! And when Athena is talking to Zeus at the end and the whole family is sitting at what looks to be a judges table? I kept imagining them eating Athena out of ten. Zeus having to level up and it takes a while and you can see just how powerful he is because even he is struggling to contain his lightning bolts! Athena seeing young Ody growing up, gushing about Penny, and showing Telemachus to her makes me want to cry! 😭 Hera and Aphrodite both having to hold Ares back because he just wants to protect his sister!! And the fact that Telemachus can see the lightning from Ithaca?!? Go save your buddy dude (I don’t actually think he can do anything I’m just frothing at the mouth right now). Athena looks so desperate at the end, crawling on her stomach (not even her hands and knees!) to beg to her father. Overall, I think this is actually my favourite God Games animatic. Hands down. I honestly think this is my favorite God Games animatic. The way you portrayed it is amazing, it sort of feels like an rpg without really looking anything like a game! How she has to go to each domain and have chats with each god to get them to see her side, and how Apollo and Hephestus seem to both be on her side from the start but still want her to convince them (and Hephestus' forge is honestly so cool, the lava??) I love each transition being she gets handed a figurine of the next level god. Aphodite being really affected by how Ody "treated" his mother makes me so sad, it's like she's thinking of if her own children treating her like that. And of course Ares was awesome, his fighting style with the two sword, and Athena with the spear and shield, that fight was done so well (and how Athena ended it with "Bro we can team up with him to kill people!). Hera!! I love how their little sprites go back and forth. I love how Zeus' lightnting has blue and yellow colours!! and how it's so large he throws the lightning bird with two hands like a spear! I also like how at the start it seems as if Zeus knew Athena was coming and was preparing already, that was cool. OMG THE WAY YOU POTRAYED THE FLASHBACKS!! How she's in a forest and a newer grown up Odysseus comes up behind another tree behind her, that was so cute!!! him growing up and falling in love and having a child while Athena watches over him!! that's so adorable!!! and also love telemachus being worried about the storm

Loved that, it's so cool and clever, he can play music wherever he goes! 😂 But the way Ares tries to stop Zeus and Telemachus watching the storm not knowing that Athena is 'giving her life' for him to see his father...that's heartbreaking... Athena wasnt born from a mistress (surprisingly), she was actually legitimate, born from zeus's first wive, metis whom he ate (unknowingly) pregnant and then athena grew in his brain and kinda just popped out i think

I love how he's this huge, intimidating God of War and Courage but still blushes when he kisses Aphrodite's hand and when Athena mentions her when she's convincing both of them to let her go to Hera to save Ody.
This is my fave animatic of all of the ones I've seen so far! I love Ares' cute little hand kiss and 'ahem'. 😂 And with him yelling in Athena's defense when Zeus was pelting her with lightning bolts. It's actually so sweet.
Gosh there are so much things i want to talk about😭 I loved the fact that each god gave Athena figures of the gods she would have to “fight” with,and i absolutely loved how you drew Ares and Aphrodite’s relationship and your design of the gods are simply amazing but i loved Hera and Aphrodite and Apollo design is simply stunning(the harpies on his hands is a GENIUS move). And Athena remembering everything she went through with Ody and how he and Telemachus look so much alike😭 Incredible animatic,and your art style is gorgeous
This was amazing! I loved every second of it! The characters were perfectly done and symbolized! I loved Ares little blush, Hephaestus's hand, Zeus's design, especially the eagle cameo at the end, and Hera's whole interaction and when she did a protective shield at the end with an expression saying "I'm done with my husband bullsh*t"! I also loved the little level up figurines! And the animation flow was incredibly smoot!

I have watched a lot of god games animatics and they’re always really good but this one *Chefs kiss*. My heart was racing when Athena was pushing though Zeus lightning bolts. The flashbacks of meeting odysseus and seeing Telemachus growing up was so amazing. It made Athena’s goals and reasons so real. thank you so much for this animatic❤.
Where do I even begin to describe how much I love this animatic? The motions for going from level to level are so fluid, I love Apollo’s gloves being an instrument, your character designs are awesome, and I adore how they all have little figurines! And Athena’s golden ichor as she bleeds! Wonderful animatic! ❤❤❤

This really does feel like a game when Athena gets those statues as her prize for convincing each of the gods. The transition and transformation that come with each level up is also top notch; from the melting statue of Hepheastus to Aphrodite's petal blizzard.

I love that the Epic community has just unanimously decided that the debate with Ares just turns into a literal battle, while all the others are just basically arguments. Like, of course the two gods representing aspects of War would have to decide their dispute with a Battle, it just makes sense XD And the way Athena is always depicted winning not with raw strength, but with cunning and skill is such a nice touch 😁

Athena beating up Ares and then him being worried saying "Is she dead?" will never get old. Also I love the idea of gods giving statues to Athena for her to go on to the next one, I have a similar idea in mind with medals. I also love that the designs you gave to the gods! Especially Apollo's lyre(I think?) and Zeus's hair, it's the puffiest thing I've seen and I love it! And also the lightning being not only yellow, but blue as well, it's almost like Zeus is trying to hit Athena not only physically, but in her mind too. And Hera making a shield from his lighting and looking so done with it is gold, as well as Ares hugging Aphrodite. AND ATHENA'S MEMORIES!?!? I though I was going to cry. I like how fast you made them, it really shows how quick Athena's thought can be. Ares wanting to help her and being held back by Hera and Aphrodite is giving off "She's my sister, no one touches her except for me". And Telemachus looking worried at the sky?? This is one of the most creative animatics I've seen, thank you for it!

Comparing this aphrodite sequence to your first one that's on your channel from about a year ago is like night and day in how you've improved in both technical and character design skill. Plus I will always praise a chubby aphrodite. Lore accurate aphrodite.
Idk if it's just me but seeing a chubby Aphrodite makes me happy bc not only is its like fitting but its also accurate. A lot of the animation make her todays beuty standards but ignore that in ancient Greece chubbier women tended to be praised and saught after more and to add to that, in all her statue depoctions she is depicted having some bit of chub, even if its not a lot but I've only seen two other artist accomplish something accurate and it's Neal and Noir who are the only other two who have made a more accurate depiction(Neal definitely has the body shape she's depicted with, hence why i believe its more accurate) just compliments ^^
Very original take on the song as a whole, favorite part is Apollos hand lyre. When I saw that, I physically went "oooh". Also, the actual hand animation paired with it- my goodness, kudos to you. Heras little nodding was funny btw, every part had something very different from the hepheastus' lava door, ares reaction to thunder wringer all the way to Athena watching ody grow (Another personal favorite, really adds to the feels)

Athena wasnt born from a mistress (surprisingly), she was actually legitimate, born from zeus's first wive, metis whom he ate (unknowingly) pregnant and then athena grew in his brain and kinda just popped out i think

Gosh there are so much things i want to talk about😭 I loved the fact that each god gave Athena figures of the gods she would have to “fight” with,and i absolutely loved how you drew Ares and Aphrodite’s relationship and your design of the gods are simply amazing but i loved Hera and Aphrodite and Apollo design is simply stunning(the harpies on his hands is a GENIUS move).
And Athena remembering everything she went through with Ody and how he and Telemachus look so much alike😭

This was amazing! I loved every second of it! The characters were perfectly done and symbolized! I loved Ares little blush, Hephaestus's hand, Zeus's design, especially the eagle cameo at the end, and Hera's whole interaction and when she did a protective shield at the end with an expression saying "I'm done with my husband bullsh*t"! I also loved the little level up figurines! And the animation flow was incredibly smoot!
My god, this is great. Also, in the end, when Athena is shot down by Zeus, she has gold blood, which is a great detail. Everything works so well.
This and Neal Illustrator's are tied for best God Games animatic to me. Your designs are INCREDIBLE. Obsessed with Apollo's little sun corona crown and his lyre gloves. Aphrodite having the beach style because she was made from seawater?? Zeus' lightning CHARGING UP TO BLUE?!?! This video needs more love and has criminally low views compared to others.

I have watched a lot of god games animatics and they’re always really good but this one *Chefs kiss*. My heart was racing when Athena was pushing though Zeus lightning bolts. The flashbacks of meeting odysseus and seeing Telemachus growing up was so amazing. It made Athena’s goals and reasons so real. thank you so much for this animatic❤.

Where do I even begin to describe how much I love this animatic? The motions for going from level to level are so fluid, I love Apollo’s gloves being an instrument, your character designs are awesome, and I adore how they all have little figurines! And Athena’s golden ichor as she bleeds! Wonderful animatic! ❤❤❤

This really does feel like a game when Athena gets those statues as her prize for convincing each of the gods. The transition and transformation that come with each level up is also top notch; from the melting statue of Hepheastus to Aphrodite's petal blizzard.

Like, of course the two gods representing aspects of War would have to decide their dispute with a Battle, it just makes sense XD

Also I love the idea of gods giving statues to Athena for her to go on to the next one, I have a similar idea in mind with medals. I also love that the designs you gave to the gods! Especially Apollo's lyre(I think?) and Zeus's hair, it's the puffiest thing I've seen and I love it! And also the lightning being not only yellow, but blue as well, it's almost like Zeus is trying to hit Athena not only physically, but in her mind too. And Hera making a shield from his lighting and looking so done with it is gold, as well as Ares hugging Aphrodite. AND ATHENA'S MEMORIES!?!? I though I was going to cry. I like how fast you made them, it really shows how quick Athena's thought can be. Ares wanting to help her and being held back by Hera and Aphrodite is giving off "She's my sister, no one touches her except for me". And Telemachus looking worried at the sky??

Omg this is so good with so many amazing touches! I love the cloud hair for Zeus that constantly changes to fit his mood! The little kiss on the hand for Aphrodite and blush from Ares was adorable, the level up tokens were a clever nod to the video game inspiration behind the whole musical, and super cute, and baby Telemachus grabbing Athena’s finger was so cute!

I don’t think I’ve ever seen an animatic that made me feel like Aphrodite actually cared about Odyssey’s mom. I really like that detail. Plus the reason Athena yells Ares’ name and him having to be held back from jumping to her defense. Peak design

I love these animatics sm because it makes me realize something new everytime. For as many times as I've heard this song, I never even noticed that Apollo keeps playing his lyre [i think?] for Athena, in my head he always just stopped as he listened to her respond. Love your art keep it going!!!!

Comparing this aphrodite sequence to your first one that's on your channel from about a year ago is like night and day in how you've improved in both technical and character design skill. Plus I will always praise a chubby aphrodite. Lore accurate aphrodite.
Idk if it's just me but seeing a chubby Aphrodite makes me happy bc not only is its like fitting but its also accurate. A lot of the animation make her todays beuty standards but ignore that in ancient Greece chubbier women tended to be praised and saught after more and to add to that, in all her statue depoctions she is depicted having some bit of chub, even if its not a lot but I've only seen two other artist accomplish something accurate and it's Neal and Noir who are the only other two who have made a more accurate depiction(Neal definitely has the body shape she's depicted with, hence why i believe its more accurate) just compliments ^^

Very original take on the song as a whole, favorite part is Apollos hand lyre. When I saw that, I physically went "oooh". Also, the actual hand animation paired with it- my goodness, kudos to you.
Heras little nodding was funny btw, every part had something very different from the hepheastus' lava door, ares reaction to thunder wringer all the way to Athena watching ody grow (Another personal favorite, really adds to the feels)
