Karpenko is under-rated. You put this exact floor routine at any Worlds or Olympics.. You have a podium finish. Her technique, style, and control well matched to being one of the greats. A bit confused when she switched out this program thinking this program had more flair.
She was prolly peaking here instead of at the Olympics that's the coaching fault. They didn't know how to keep the gymnasts from peaking at the wrong times, wrong competitions
it kind of annoys me that a roundoff to whip to double arabian gets the same cv (0.2 cv) as a roundoff to 1.5 twist to roundoff to bhs to 2.5 twist to front pike
it's because the double arabian was an E skill so it got 0.2 CV more easily. The 2.5 twist was a D skill so it was harder to get 0.2 CV and mostly only got 0.1 CV. It's still like this in today's COP.
She even kicks out/presents her last landing right on the music. Gorgeous.

I would agree, I really liked this routine and the music too.
What a beautiful routine, lovely dance, and geat music.
Absolutely stellar, gorgeous, powerful, flamboyant, linear, multidimensional, poignant. Powefull! ❤
Congrats!
Ahell of an athlete just never hit when it counted the most at the olympics such a shame

@@dannydanielsnycshe was probably just burnt out she did go to the 96 Olympics but either was injured or didn’t make the aa I can’t remember
Incredible
99% sure Elfi jinxed her 😭
ugh that first pass. whip immediate double arabian. stuck!
in the 2010s Lauren Mitchell did the same combination and added a stag leap at the end for an additional 0.1 CV.
