I have to commend Aegon for actually being a father who at least tried to be a good dad the effort was there he might not have been the best role model but he tried even after his father failed him you would expect a character like Aegon to do like his father and not teach his son or not be there for him but no he put that effort in so to that I applaud him for
I hear you. Part of the reason why he’s a raging lunatic is because both his parents didn’t really invest in him. But I definitely see traits of him being more caring to his son. Even bringing him to the small council.
I just feel so bad for Helaena - she never wanted any of this 😭 I was so worried when that wheel caught that something horrible was gonna happen to her sons body in front of her

When Alicent walked out after seeing Aegon crying... Bruh i sat there with my mouth open because I don't know HOW you can just walk away from your grieving son like that. Such a stark contrast to Rhaenyra immediately comforting her oldest son when they experienced loss. Alicent has never dealt healthily with an emotion in her life and apparently never will 🙃
I feel you 1000%. Leaving him alone to freaking drown in his sorrows is diabolical. damn!! That is such a good point, the comparison of how both mothers Comfort their babies. I blame otto, unfortunately he drug Alicent into this and now she is becoming as cold as he is
People bring up how Blood and Cheese went in the book and express being let down, but personally I'm not about the most brutal scenario - I'm about the most interesting one! Helaena in the books isn't a dreamer, she's just kind of in the background to be ignored or tormented. The decision to make her a dreamer is MUCH more interesting, and to me rather than it being better or worse than the book it's simply different. She still had to choose, but what's heart breaking to me are the little bits before hand, where she's sewing a funeral shroud and muttering "they only want the boy", expressing fear for the rats and looking at her son's crib... but not knowing why. That little moment when they tell her to choose and she starts to shake her head but interrupts herself to point? I think that's the exact moment she understood what her dream meant. She realized in that moment that if she did not choose, they would ALL die. So many moments for somebody to hear her and actually listen to her, all wasted. That's just a devastating to me, just in a different way. I like that she seems autistic coded too. I'm also autistic and the actress is very good at portraying little things via body language. I was so stressed for her during the procession, like the veil over her face, Alicent constantly touching her (do not touch people having a meltdown unless they ask, EVER), the hops falling on her, the shouting of the crowd, being trapped in place on the carriage - that's pure sensory overload hell. I would have panicked too.
I'm very sad we didn't get the twins for longer in the show. I think both their characters were good characters and would have displayed good ideas of questionings about themselves and about the war for the soldiers and family members. But I do also like the sword fight they had because I think it is ultimately symbolic of the civil war we're going to see.
I couldn't agree more. There were such a good characters and would have been a great look into what the average Soldier on both sides feel. Their story and end was weirdly poetic
I started Reading the First got book a while ago and i think already there it was mentioned that these 2 were gonna die at each others swords, so since i saw them in season 1 i was Waiting for this scene to happen… it was awesome

I personally think that Daemon truly loved Lucerys and was furious at his loos (it can be heard he called him affectionally "Luke" in last episode). In book, it's noy clear wheter primar target was Aegon (not Aemond) or children - if the latter, then seems he was driven solely by his desire to avenge Luke, as he perfectly knew killing child will not be of any strategy and only make Aegon furious. I think even in show he takes pleasure with tormenting Greens - he could tell assasins they should kill any Targ-Hightower they met, yet their heistation in harming Helaena and her daughter makes clear he was specific only one dies, so other would suffer. So in conlusion: it seems it was mainly retribution for Luke. Like Rhaenys in episode 9, assasins could make much more damage to Green family then they did, so Daemon was clearly drived by personal vendetta rather than strategy.
For real. It's crazy to me how much people love him. I guess it's mostly the actor and how good he portrays being diabolical, yet charismatic. But if we're going off his deeds, his freaking devious
I feel they have made team black boring this season. Only character that is interesting in TB is Daemon. On the other hand, team green are supposed to be villains but they have such interesting dynamics and are fun to watch.
I really enjoy watching your reactions, but just wish you would make them a little longer. I watch 4 other reactors to House of the Dragon and their reactions are at least double the amount of time you do. You just cut too much out. But it's your channel.
