    Round 4
Temperature: 100°C (oil is heated to 100°C)
    Motul 8100 Eco-lite 5W30 from 2023.
    What does the test show?
The more weights you manage to put on the machine until it stops, the stronger the oil film tested will be. The test examines the oil film's resistance to tearing.
The sample is measured with a micrometer - the lower the result with a given load (the gouge in the sample is smaller), the oil will give better protection to the engine.
The table will give the result of the gouge in the sample, the number of weights put on the machine, the temperature when the machine is stopped.

It seems strange to me that hot oil behaves this way. Would the result be that room temperature oil is better? Anyway I like what you do but be careful when you do tests, do better, be careful.
    1) Lubricate the wheel first and then fit the cylinder, carry out increasingly more precise tests so you can get more reliable feedback. You have the opportunity to bring great content for everyone, try to do the tests in a workmanlike manner. If you put the two metals in contact without oil and turn on the car the cylinder will scratch slightly, but the oil has not yet arrived. When you hear the noise you should stop and let the oil warm up more.
    2) The oil must be hot, 50° is not hot oil, 80°/100° must be. The additives in the oil do not work at 50°, in fact you feel after a while that some oils no longer make any noise. For example, here the additive started working at 90°, which is not correct as a test. The oil wasn't doing its job, that's why the car heats up and the water reaches 80/90 degrees, but the oil reaches even more than 100°. Especially racing oils, they are designed to reach higher temperatures. Also read the technical data sheets of the oils, they can help you.
    3) Clean the metal surfaces that are in contact well and then lubricate the parts before putting them in contact, otherwise it runs for half a second without oil and 1 or 2 seconds without additives.
    4) The additives contained in the oil must bind to the steel, so you must lubricate the parts well, it does not happen that an engine runs without oil. When assembling an engine you put oil (or grease) on all the mechanical parts before doing the first start, otherwise the entire first start would burn. The engine is always in contact with the oil even after every "service", the engine never runs without oil, when the oil light comes on there is still oil on the metal walls.
    5) Keep in mind that to clean well you also have to use sandpaper, I don't know how you do it, just to inform you. There are oils that polarize with the metal parts, bind to the surface, so cleaning between one test and another is essential, otherwise you will have wrong results. Be careful of all the variables. I tell you this because it is useless to do these tests if they are not perfect.
