Really Gorgeous .
Absolutely amazing! The attention to detail is second to none.
I went back and watched the video of when it came in, what a transformation!
It’s funny how these old cars are actually better now than when they left the factory, people today point at a bad panel gap etc but most of the old fords, talbots, Vauxhall’s and the like weren’t great when new. Great series and look forward to the next.
😍 Ow my days...... What a beautiful looking car, well done guys.
That paint looks like permanent stuff, I preferred the quick release stuff it had before 😂. Great job guys
Absolute masterclass 👏👏
As someone who is constantly told they can’t hang a picture straight this would have given me nightmares 😂😅
Lewis & Leanne... I have only one word to describe the finished article... PERFECTION! Cheers. Leigh.
Just stunning!
The car looked brilliant before the stickers but now it looks absolutely amazing! Well done on all your hard work on this car!
Excellent finnished to video and the louts Talbot sunbeam.
Good to laugh together.
Who knew sticker application could be interesting? But it was, thanks to you, Lewis. Nice work!
Nice video wow that’s some decal kit isn’t it! I would be crapping bricks!
0:46 Did we miss the swimwear section? 😋 Absolutely fantastic job, guys. That is one Alan Minter of a motor. 👍
been a signwriter over 40 years now & that's a nice job! if you're doing vinyl graphics regularly, might be worth investing in a proper squeegee, 3m gold are the best, also some signmaker magnets, saves all that messing around aligning with masking tape, I use wrapcut tape for the ends, they do a bendy one & one for straight & slight curves, if the vinyl is air release you can do it dry with no fear of bubbles, supplying stripes over long is correct, I trim door shuts after removing application tape so you can see what you're doing.
What a pro, great work.👍
I love the way the missus says." Just gotta throw some stickers on it" 😂😂 Brilliant job. Looks mint as usual. 👍
its such a vital step , as its what everyone sees first , well done.
Yeah it's an iconic look, has to be right on these cars or it would stick out like a sore thumb!
Wow well done, looks a million,No more peeling paint cannot wait to see it in the flesh ❤❤❤❤
I’m really impressed, guys. What a piece of art! See you next time. Take care. Cheers - Martin
Brilliant, Brilliant, Brilliant. I remember the cars from the 80's and they did not look that good from the factory, nowhere near! It looks amazing. I look forward to seeing at shows next summer, hope the owner does not want to keep it to him(her)self.
Thank you Steve! We probably had a bit more time than the guys at the factory lol hopefully you'll see it around next season!
@@WhitelandRestorations was this done by hand back in the day too? What a time consuming job even if they didn't take as much care...
Very nice. I'm sure the stickers are better aligned than new. Just a bit nerve wracking watching that!
Fabulous job as always! As a bit of a perfectionist myself I can see you’re the same. Great to see it finished.
What a stunning job you've done. I'm sure my eyes would water at the value of the car as it is now, but if I had that sort of money, I'd be biting the owners arm off for it! Thanks for taking us all along on the journey.
Thank you very much. These sure are worth a pretty penny. Plenty more journeys to come..... Don't forget to subscribe 👌
Fantastic guys! I have really, really enjoyed watching this segment ☺️☺️ looking forward to seeing the Volvo finished 👍🏻
Fantastic, looks absolutely brilliant.
Great insight and amazing quality of work, plus such nice people.
Looks amazing , you should be be very proud of your workmanship. Well done .
Alot o work for that little car! Great job...learning alot of your channel 😃
Very impressive work & what an iconic colour combination, the owner must be chuffed to bits. There must be quite a weight saving from the previous paint job
Think this is the best colour combination! Owner is very please with their pocket rocket!
Ooff dude that was a job it looked painful you made a wonderful job of that . That car looks magnificent well done you really turned it into a beautiful thing again 👏👏👍
Lewis ... You are simply wasted on planet earth.
Your attention to detail and pursuit of perfection is a rare commodity.
The work you've done on that Sunbeam is simply perfection.
If Elon Musk sees this build then prepare yourself for a career in space travel 😉
This thing looks fantastic. That sticker placement is tedious as heck!
wow guys, absolutely bang on the money. Back in the day, one of our local dealers had the cheapest hire car deals around, and that was for the Talbot Sunbeam and Horizons, so I have hired a few new ones of these and can honestly say the build quality was awful. That car is most definitely better than a new one would have been. Well done.
Build quality at the end of the car's run was even worse apparently! Don't know how they got away with it 🤣
Guys, that was painstaking, your attention to detail is amazing, it would be so easy to end up wasting a set of new decals..😮
With the price of that decal set... There were a few beads of sweat lol
Tremendous job, looks stunning. Is this a Avon model or the standard lotus, not sure how to tell them apart to be honest. Wish it was mine 😁.
This is a standard S2 Lotus in Embassy Black. Avon cars were two tone. An upper metallic Cobalt blue pinstriped over the factory Talbot Moonstone. The interior was completely retrimmed in blue velour with red piping and finished off with an Avon coachworks build plaque.
Stunning car. But it would have been nice to hear it running.
Where can I buy those décalcomanies ?
Were you referring to an original when you decided to cut, or when you stuck the Lotus roundel? Seemed like you were doing it as you saw it , rather than using a reference..
If you go back to when we're using the laser level in the vid, you'll hear Lewis discuss the measurements for the roundle from historical records and the decals were cut to customer requested specifications 👍
@@WhitelandRestorations sure .. I just couldn't even begin to cut that sticker without checking everything every 5 secs! ;)
looks fantastic, Certainly not a HubNut car, Ian would not be able to tinker with it as its Brand New haha
No tinkering needed on this one. Still feel guilty for making Giselle too shiny to drive 😂
Why vinyl & not paint?
Ive had silver vinyl
On my work van & had to have it redone 3 times over last 10 years as it looses it shine & goes starts to look dirty- been to 3 different vinyl guys now & theyve told me to change to grey as silver has a shorter life span 🤷🏼♂️
cast vinyl is the best for metallics, expensive but should last 7-10 years, most signmakers use cheap to mid range because they're competing with local competition on price.
on a classic car that will only see daylight a few times a year, cheaper vinyl should be ok.
vous avez oublié de mettre le volant du bon coté🤣
Just WOW!
That car looks better than perfect, the pant is a mirror pinkish.
Goodness knows how many hours it’s taken.
Better without the stickers...
Wow scary to watch but stunning finish
Whiteland Restorations MASTERPIECE !!! Gotta appreciate a MASTERPIECE. ❤ The owner should be proud. ❤
Thanks Kenneth!
