I am an actor and content creator with Hollywood credits including roles on Lucifer (Netflix), Starlight Christmas (Hallmark), JT Leroy (Universal Studios), etc. In this channel, I offer insight to Kpop performances using my 10+ years of training in dance, acting, singing and overall performance. In dance, my forte are contemporary and musicals and have done most of my performances in theatre. Although my channel is mostly known for dance analysis, I am currently inactive in the dance community.
Hi guys! I am aware that some people are offended I didn’t catch that Jeongyeon was missing from the dance practice.
I admit I don’t keep up with Twice as much as I do other groups and it didn’t occur to me that she was missing because other than that one bit of space, the formations and choreography wasn’t noticeable that it was missing someone. I didn’t think to count to make sure because I generally look at the whole picture when it comes to formation. I think this would’ve happened with any group unless I’m very aware of the situation. Im also not accustomed to groups leaving spaces for missing members so it didn’t occur to me such possibility. But I get that my comments implied that they made a mistake which is important for some fans that I acknowledge it wasn’t, so please accept my sincerest apology.
I will be thinking about if I should keep reacting to Twice (and possibly other select groups both boys and girls) since I’m at a slower rate with them in terms of learning their names, their activities, etc. I understand that it’s important for some fans that reactors are invested with the kpop groups they react to.

I personally feel like if you want to keep reacting to them, like you enjoy their content and music, then you absolutely should. It's okay you didn't know she was missing. You never claimed to be Twice's number 1 fan! And you're acknowledging it now. I would love to keep seeing your reactions to them if you're comfortable. Us once's are just sensitive as they're promoting to new audiences with 8 currently and we want to make sure Jeongyeon is mentioned :)

I apologize if some onces were rude when letting you know about JY's absence. It was an honest mistake, and you don't deserve any rude treatment over it. Though onces may be touchy about the subject especially due to some recent events, that doesn't give them a pass to be mean.
Personally, I'd be saddened if you didn't check out Twice anymore. I enjoy seeing your analysis of the choreos and performances, even if you don't know each member yet. That being said, I'll respect your decision no matter what it is.
do what you want but if something peaks your interest and u wanna react to it w/ little to no knowledge about a group then DO IT. it's fair enough if u give a disclaimer that you don't know a group too well. i hope people arent up your ass ab this bc u mentioned at least twice in this vid how you don't know everyone's names so how can you possibly notice if someone is missing lol. anyway i hope you're having a good night jeff!!

i think for the spacing, they actually leave a space for jeongyeon so that when she comes back (like actually performs with them) they just put her there... i know it looks off now but i think it's cute they leave a space for her hehe

Yeah you can kinda tell that its spaced with a missing person. The formations seem like there are supposed to be an even amount of girls around a center ( because they are an odd numbered group.) As opposed to groups like Everglow where formation is bulit with an even amount of members in mind so they use more staggered formations instead of symmetrical

TWICE is 9 members, Jeongyeon is on hiatus due to her health. She's so brave for still participating on MV and recording and for some time to time schedules.
Actually when you point that they kinda off center because one member isn't here, Jeongyeon she still in hiatus due her mental health, also the person who does the adslib is Jihyo

I agree with you, the chorus is really a fun choreo. Just makes you wanna groove and have that 'TWICE' feels.
Jihyo and Nayeon are doing the vocals in the last chorus
God Jihyo,Nayeon, and Jeongyeon,basically 3mix, are the main vocal lines of Twice. They are incharge of adlibs. TWICE uses a lot of adlibs on their songs pretty often.
Twice usually do circle formations on the last chorus (fancy, DTNA, Cry for Me, ICSM)
It's for Jeongyeon. They're intentionally doing that to leave a space for her. They're the sweetest and cutest ever. *TWICE IS NINE.*
It looked odd since they always leave room for Jeongyeon which is currently on hiatus, there are 9 members in total so its just symmetrical if she was here.
What's so great about this comeback is they carried their trademark music to the world. They didn't try hard to sound western or act like a western Girlgroup. Their bravery to put this kind of music to World's plate it just amazing.
It's fine Jeff, as a Once I appreciate your honest reaction for them. Yes, it's a little bit off in the formation but that's the truth. It's fine even you don't remember their names, I love seeing your reaction, you are one of the reacting video creator I always watch because you give honest and enough details in the choreography. I believe it’s jihyo who does the adlibs after her section of the chorus, the part you asked about! Nayeon does some before that during jeongyeon’s chorus.
They're actually leaving a space for Jeongyeon, who is currently on hiatus. She's the center in the 3rd chorus after the bridge. :D
Twice did what Bts could not... making a kpop english song. It is all in english but the music genre is still kpop, twice did not fall into just releasing a pop song but instead got a perfect combination

the song is so catchyyyyy and also there's a space where it looks like there's something missing because one member wasnt able to participate in the video and their overall activities due to personal issues.
Twice often uses circular formation for final chorus (example: Fancy, ICSM, Cry For Me).
Beside that, I really love diagonal formation like in 8:29 and Fancy intro,prechorus,outro.
the formation is off sometimes because they're leaving space for jeongyeon. twice is actually a nine ppl group and they probably danced to the nine ppl version hence some holes here and there

Typically Nayeon and Jihyo get most of the adlibs. When Nayeon is singing it’s normally Jihyo doing it and vice versa. After Nayeon’s high note in the bridge, she did the adlibs while Jeongyeon and Jihyo sang the chorus and then Jihyo took over after her last chorus part

The spaces are for Jeongyeon💚 she's currently on hiatus due to her health (I miss you, Jeong😭) there are two persons doing the whole adlibs at the latter parts- Jihyo and Nayeon💕. And lastly, thank you so much for this wonderful reaction❤️

Haha, of course we can't have a complete list of choreography video reaction, if we don't have Jeff. It was indeed a 1-off choreo since Jeongyeon is still in Hiatus from promotions and such. I think there's also another 1-off part in Sana's rap line in the 2nd verse where they did 3 members each line, instead it was 3x2x3. The poster at the end also said 3rd Full Album in November (next month) and 4th tour coming. So it's going to be a busy for the rest of the year to say the least haha. This is their first ever english title track but it's already their second english song the first one was "What You Waiting For"
If I don't know Twice I wouldn't notice that there's an empty space for a member until Jihyo part 8:09 (behind her). The intro seems normal.
As for the spacing issue(I know there have been several comments already)-it looks like Jeongyeon(the missing member) would be Jihyo(the member with the spacing issue)’s mirror on the other side of the formation, which is why she looks like she’s stuck out, but it’s just because her mirror on the other side isn’t Sana, which you’d be led to believe if you didn’t know Jeongyeon was missing! This is a super honest mistake to make, though, and not something you would have caught unless TWICE was a group in which you were very familiar with all members! So, no biggie! And even IF it had been a spacing issue, I don’t think it would have been a big deal to point it out either-Jeff wasn’t attacking Jihyo, just simply pointing out what he thought a simple mistake. Which they make. Because they’re human!
I hope Once’s don’t blow this up and make it a big deal. I, for one, really enjoyed the reaction per usual, and I hope Jeff continues to react to TWICE! Don’t let this deter you from your GG reactions, Jeff!

Tzuyu (the tall one) adjusts her height to other members height by bending her legs, she does this to other choreos too like Fancy's chorus where the girls bend while their hands are above their head and Tzuyu bends more lower to kind of match her height to other members

At this point you should always expect there to be a gap in the formations reserved for JY. This isn't some new change after all. All that aside, they did amazing with this single. Sure the choreo isn't the hardest but it's easy for anyone to learn and the formations were still incredible as always

I actually find it cute that they leave a space for the member who won't be promoting with them, it looks off cuz that's how it's supposed to be. It makes the viewer wonder why, and it's because they aren't complete. This is specially noticeable in the cry for me choreo. Twice always reminds us that they're nine.

When the High Notes are kinda tight its Nayeon. If the notes are whole its Jihyo. Its not a very powerful song but you can sing and dance along with it and thats the strength of this song anyone can groove with it and have fun 👍
