I know the feeling when you leave something on. A few times I left my solar inverter on. Now I have 2 checklists. Open camp and close camp. If someone else uses camp they know what to do. I also now leave my keys by the inverter so it's the last thing I do. Glad to see the camp. Can't wait for next season.
Yes, all kinds of deer sign in there. Should be able to pull some bears out in the upcoming years too. I wouldn't be surprised if they are thick in there.
Benny, I have a camp in iron county hardly ever have to run my generator. 200 watt solar system runs my tv, satellite receiver and will charge my devices. Gas frig and lights use very little propane and heat with wood stove.
Hay Benny you talk to a lot of people. Going turkey hunting with wife in a few weeks. Kinda heavy bear country and well it's that time of year. What are your thoughts on bear spray or carry hand gun just in case
Hi Keith thanks for watching and good luck to you both. Personally, I feel comfortable with having my turkey shot gun on hand to use as a line of defense. I like to go on the lighter side with my gear if possible. I think it's not a bad idea to pack your handgun and/or spray if it's not weighing you down on top of what you're already carrying with you. This is with the assumption that you were referring to black bear and not a grizzly. Hope that helps !
