the titans management got exposed. badly. you let malik go for a box of rocks and he comes back to burn you. there is no way to say he's horrible when he is lighting you up with all the skills you said he did not have. embarrassing.
I keep thinking Matt LaFleur must have an exceptional ability to simplify things for his QBs. He planned an UNBELIEVABLE game for Willis. Willis understood the assignment and crushed it.
At what point do we realize that a QB prospect’s chances of hitting is weighted more on which team drafts them rather than how good the QB is? 49ers and Packers can make late round picks and castaways look like gold while teams like Chicago, Carolina, and Jacksonville couldn’t develop QBs if their lives depended on it. It’s not a coincidence that Fields is finally starting to put it all together in Pittsburgh after 3 years of toiling around on the Bears.
Yeah I've thought this for a long time and this just solidifies it for me. Some coaching staffs just don't know how to put their players in a position to be successful.
Bears were trying to make an orange outta a largemouth bass. Steelers looked at the roadrunner and said, He just needs some direction and to use those wings. Bears almost ruined him like they did Cutler. Tomlin's creating the original Fields and branching him out. And I'm loving it.
I mean sure but players like Jaylen Daniel’s and Cj Stroud make it seem contrary. At the end of the day it’s a multi million professional team and should have some of the best trainers and staff in the world. There is no excuse for any quarterback to not be good this days, of course it’s just my opinion
@@reyking4330 Huh? The Texans and Commanders both have solid coaches and solid rosters. Those two organizations actually took their time to rebuild and add in other areas prior too drafting their QBs.
If this season has taught us anything, it’s that we underrate how crucial offensive playcalling is to a “situation” when evaluating QBs. Malik Willis is a perfect example of this. This season, so far, has been about great coaching in so many ways.
The speed he has is swift and explosive but his smooth movement seems to play into how he operates in play action. It makes the linebackers more reactive for better looks downfield. The dual threat element is real.
@@billzander2875 yeah why not when he’s got a rocket arm too. I wouldn’t mind playing him for 5-10 plays in first halfs mostly. Most teams are a bit too conventional to do stuff like that though. Maybe DC Hafley’s defensive success and turnovers move LaFleur to adopt more daring strategies, shoot I would. Defense gifts the ball back more often than not so why not be brave and make some magic happen.
I think Malik really has understood the assignment. Trust your teammates and protect the football. And the team has rallied around him. This is a dangerous team if that type of teamwork continues under Love.
6:05 shout out to Jacobs and Kraft immediately noticing the run and switching from route to blocking, Kraft even stops his route to get leverage on the cover.
I think that's my favorite thing about watching these guys this year. They're all in it together. The defense was still getting after Levis with 30 seconds left. Outside of cleaning up penalties, what's not to love about this team.
This video blew me away, such a great analysis. I watched this game, live, but now I feel I've seen it. Thanks. Props to the Packers GM, who brought Willis in at the last minute. Team victory.
alright, that crosser to watson should've been picked. but on a 3rd and 18, he legitimately looked like the only/best option to move the sticks there. nothing wrong with taking that shot in a game where your defense was as dominant as possible. a punt and a pick aren't any different
Malik has a Samus cannon of an arm. I hope he gets to really let one loose downfield soon. Great video though. Malik is maybe one of the most likeable people. I’m a pack fan now.

Tbh the Titans arent my favorite team but I have watched them for a long time and I'm really worried about their culture and the people running the team. I had my issues with Vrabel, mostly on offensive coordinator choices and Robinson made some super bad personnel choices but at least u know he kept the culture there right and had a great defensive scheme. I think the reason that Malik wasnt mad that he got traded is that he was at the bottom of the depth chart when the whole team knew he was the best qb on the team cuz even tho Levis may turn out good he isnt as good as Malik right now and the clowns that tried to tell me Rudolph beat out Malik for the backup job can suck it now. Tbh I was shocked when the Titans made Rudolph the backup and traded Malik but I think the Titans are going to turn out like the Jets or Panthers when they were at their most dysfunctional.
Not sure it's fair to say everyone knew Malik was the best QB. Think back to 2022. Malik got some playing time, including three starts: In the first (Week 8), he completed 6 of 10 passes, 0 TDs 1 INT. In the second (Week 9), he completed a rough 5 out of 16 passes (0 TDs/INTs). And, in the last (Week 16), he did better on completion percentage-14 for 23-but he threw no touchdowns and 2 interceptions. Then, in 2023, after throwing only 5 passes ... Will Levis comes in and, in his first game, throws 4 TDs and 0 INTs. Levis cools off the rest of the year, but I don't think you can blame the Titans for going with him. It's weird to describe Levis as traditional, since he's so insanely aggressive, but between him and Willis, he is the more traditional passer.
@@rjwill1992 Rudolph has never gotten better since he started getting playing time for the Steelers.
