I love how you guys enjoyed Nasi Goreng! It's a SE Asian dish... and a mix / fusion of everything is a great way to describe it, as SouthEast Asian cuisine is often an amalgamation of cultural flavours! Nasi means rice, and goreng means fried. So it's essentially fried rice done the SE Asian way :)

just WOW! The entrance reminds me of going through the jaws of a great white shark!! lol What a blissful resort though. I know you were obviously respectful of other guests but it looked pretty deserted. I love the Maldives for a week...more I found it a bit boring (as I was unable to scuba dive), but for a week of switching off and pure relaxation - perfection. Your life has seemed pretty frenetic lately and I am sure it was much needed.
