Neil Gaimen's The Ocean at the End of the Lane is probably my favorite of the year. Though Steven King's Dark Tower Series might top it. I don't know, but if you liked Gaimen, maybe you should try the first Dark Tower book. The Gunslinger.
I've definitely thought about it. It's tough cause there's so many series I need to get to still.
