No wonder. SW 1, SW2, SW3 were most expensive Sega games (well still they are) aside of Shenmue and Panzer Dragoon Saga. Budget for SW1 + SW2 was 40-50 mln $, and opening for SW3 had arround 3 mln $.
1:28 Sakura to Sumire Script: Sakura: Ah, sorry about that! Sumire: Sakura-san! Didn’t anyone tell you it’s rude to step on someone’s kimono you bumpkin? Sakura: I’m so sorry... Sumire: Honestly, this is why I can’t stand countryfolk... So vulgar, and rude... Now then, let’s take it once more from the very top... Sakura: Oh, I’m SO sorry... Sumire: You damn brat... Sakura-san, if words won’t get through, perhaps my hand will!
I can already understand what they’re saying. Try picking up a book and learning something new so you don’t have to rely on western localization companies.
@@SilverArro I know. But the manga book series followed the original game's plot. I do saw some images on the manga website. I love the manga, but I prefer the TV series.
XDDD i laugh a lot at 1:25 - 2:08 , what happens to Sumire? when you fall you are supposed to move your hands forward to protect your face XDDDD very funny scene, her face goes straight to the floor twice XDDDDDDDD
It's because it never was! The only anime segments that I saw that I felt were any good were the first two OVA series. The first OVA had the best opening animation and theme song. The theme song got different versions and was sung by different cast members but I prefer the original version sung by the voice actress of Sakura herself. The Sakura Wars TV series IS JUNK... It's low-grade, low-quality animation and VERY boring. Compare and contrast to the original anime OVA series which is probably the best it ever got. ADV Films licensed the first two OVA series and the TV series (which is the only part of Sakura Wars still in print in the US and sold by Funimation now), Funimation optioned two of the later OVA series but didn't pick up the last one. All that was licensed for the was dubbed. The OVAs are now on Blu ray in Japan but they never optioned the hi-def transfers outside of Japan because the series just isn't that popular outside of Japan. I think there were 4 or 5 OVAs originally done and most of it contrary to popular belief made it to the US except the last OVA series that introduced the American characters. Those characters I think were featured in the Sakura Wars game that was translated and released on the North American PS2 console.
this game looks fantastic and Sega was way ahead of the curve
I can’t believe such high quality anime cutscenes with this insanely good symphonic score were made for a SEGA Saturn game

If only they make Sakura Wars triple collection for 3DS and 2DS in Japan and America, then we can understand what they are saying.
Don't forget Europe! Everyone forgets about us

Philip McGhee Sorry, I was being a jerk. I didn’t mean to be but it came out really bad.
@@SilverArro That's okay. You're just trying to help, and I appreciate it. :-)

5:00 la real waifu :3
Being a lolicon fanboy (I admit it), the Iris ending's my favorite one followed by the Sakura, Sumire and Kohran endings in a 3 way tie
