Maybe he was having a bad day. He doesn't have to be smiley and happy for us all the time, he has been/could be depressed at the moment, it's kinda rude to say "we're over ashton being pissed off" because he can't help his emotions.

Sure as we descend into discussing about how Ashton seems a rude and shows too much attitude here in this video, let's not forget the fact that he is also the one who is the sweetest and kindest to us fans and most of the time keeping us updated about what is going on with the band. He is a human being and he can have off days where he might not seem all sunshine and rainbows. So let's give him some space to be the way he wants to be alright? Thanks for coming to my tedtalk!
The only reason it’s off putting to me is because it’s not “just a bad day” he’s been like this in a lot of the recent interviews so idk if he’s doing it on purpose or is unaware of it but it looks really bad on him and on the guys too who in this interview were clearly trying to lighten the mood a little. There is no doubting how sweet and amazing he is and how interactive he is with fans but that’s all the more reason why it’s so concerning to see him act like this. If he’s going through something I hope he gets through it and if not I hope he changes his attitude a little because I don’t want people to think bad of him and the boys just because of a few interviews.
I agree. I’ve never seen him, nor any of them in person or at a concert. But I’ve “known” them long enough to know that Ashton is the kindest and sweetest to the fans. Like he said when he was talking to Calum in his interview video, he gets depressed and he has anxiety. Sometimes it’s too hard to beat, and it just makes it 10 times harder to pick ourselves back up. Who knows what he is going through. ❤️
Yeah I'm just really worried about him. Like he said in that video he has anxiety and stuff and with my experience in that field I think it really looks like he's putting walls up around him, I don't know why but he's doing it. It seems like he's afraid to show his emotions and/or let others get close, the last one can also be seen as litteraly, LOOK HOW MUCH OF A DISTANCE HE PUTS BETWEEN HIMSELF AND LUKE (especially seen the fact that the others sit against eachother leaving absolutely no room between). bro i never comment on videos but yall need to realize that ash has always been so open with us about his mental health and with letting us know when he's feeling down, to the extent where he's had a huge influence on my life and has helped me accept my own mental health issues. the least we can do for him is allow him to have off days. personally, i don't think he was being rude, per say, however maybe he wasn't in the best headspace and we need to respect that and move on as opposed to calling him out for being a douche or whatever negative comments you're throwing around. instead, use social media as a platform to lift him up and remind him of how loved he is, and remind him to get some rest and take care of himself when he needs it. let him make a sarcastic remark or two, he isn't hurting anyone.

It's like he resents the fans or something, when they're the ones that chose to do this and used to be so close to the fans, remember when we were literally called a family (5sosfam)? All I see now is them actively trying to push us away in the name of privacy..like I advocate and fully support their right to privacy but there's no need to have such an attitude all the time? Like at least be nice to your fans and do a proper interview like a professional even if you think it could be better, at least so you don't ruin the whole vibe...

Same, but I’m just glad they’re still funny and joke around a lot. They aren’t as lively in this video as they were in the past few interviews though, especially Ashton. But I feel like they’re more back to their old selves this year vs last year, or maybe it seems that way because they do more promo. Honestly what I miss the most are their tweets, especially from Michael. He used to tweet all the time and it would make me smile when I’d get notifications. Even last year, his twitch streams were the best. But they just aren’t around as much as they used to be. I‘m well aware they’re never going to be 2015 5sos again, but it’s nice to come across someone else who misses the good old days.
