Nelinho (played for Brazil in 1974 and 1978 World Cups) had a more powerfull kick probably. But since it was the 70s not much footage of him ca nbe found. Concidentaly, Nelinho was also a side back.

I recall seeing that free kick against France while waiting to enroll in college, there was a TV on in the waiting room and I was astonished at the speed and curve that ball took, I guess it must been top 3 of the best free kicks in history, no doubt.

If Marcelo went to Juventus i do t think they can make the 3peat they can sure win one Champions League but the threepeat Is something we wont see un a Long Time again

Thats true, back then Brasil had a great team, strength, speed dribbling. Great players. Im from Argentina and i love watching Messi and many other local players less known, but its also great, to watch legends like Roberto Carlos, Ronaldinho, Ronaldo and also from around the globe.

I'd like to point out that it's actually very easy for someone who's grown up playing the game to curve the ball with the inside of their foot. It's the high amount of curve that's more of an acquired skill like David Beckham had. However, Roberto Carlos can curve from the outside of his foot. Curving from the outside of your foot is a very difficult skill to master.
In spain they called his shots Bomba Inteligente: Intelligent Bomb . no other player has been able to replicate his kicks, as you point out curving with the outside is very hard, more hard to put the power he managed to put in the ball. He was only 5´6 but his legs were freakin huge he could kick you to the moon easily, he was stronger than many taller players.
Yeah, but let's be fair. Beckham was the best free kick taker and crosser of his generation.

But yeah Beckham is in that conversation for sure
You have to have an immense amount of strength on your legs to curve the ball with some much speed with the outside of your foot.. anyone can curve the ball with the outside of the door but being able to control the curve at such maximum speed is something that it's hard to do, Roberto Carlos mastered it.. he scored that Olympic goal with the outside of his left foot from a corner kick, that's when you know that he reached a level that no other player has been able to reached

Huge thanks allure for checking out my request,as you see it was worth it. Roberto Carlos is widely known for his insane powerful left leg shots. His combination of skills is so rare,that only he had it so far. The combination consists of excellent curved shots from the outside of
his left (left footers are very rare) foot. The outside (named after the outside of the foot) curve is super rare nowadays,mostclubs don't even practice it. The outsode curve is the most difficult type of shot in football,amd it requires a lot of practice and precision. Andno one has ever combined it with such poweras Carlos,which is so difficult,that you could count players with that skill combination on the fingers of one hand,amd Carlos would be the best there. Left foot,outside curve,insane power. Nowadays it's super rare to see just 1 of these,let alone 3 combined.
In my opinion the best(if not Juninho)freekick taker of all time,best left back of al time, and most powerful left leg of all time(in soccer). On my channel i have a video covering all angles of his best freekick ever against france.
Brazil in the 90s was insane,even better than you think. Every player was a top 10 in the world at his position. Ronaldo,Ronaldinho,Rivaldo,Romario,R.Carlos,Cafu,etc. You need to see a video called "Craziest Football Skills Brazilian Legends" In that video they show highlights of all the best brazilian players at each position(12+reserves+coach). It's one of my favorite football videos so far.

The best left back in the history without a doubt, when it comes to other positions its close call, in LB case its not. Roberto Carlos by far the best, he set the tone for the modern Left Backs to be offensive minded. This just shows offensive highlights but he was also good at defending. His stamina was unbelievable. This just focuses on goals but he could also dribble and pass very well.

Brazil didn't have just Ronaldo, Ronaldinho and Roberto Carlos. They had also Marcos, Rivaldo, Cafu, Adriano, Robinho, Kakà, Juninho Pernambucano (the man with most free-kicks goals scored). This team was amazing. They played together for few years and they won World Cup in 2002, Confederations Cup in 2005... This team was really amazing!!!

Second of all, glad you posted a video of my IDOL Roberto Carlos, the guy with the deadliest left leg shot in history, as you saw in the video, guys would move out the way cause they didn't want to get hit by the ball when he shot it. The wall they put there is meant to block the shot, but not when he was shooting it. Keep up the great work beautiful lady.

He's not just a defender but also a goal-scorers and had always stepped up when goals were needed. I have watche only four players with such poweful shot in football history so far; Roberto Rivelino (Brazil,1970), Roberto Carlo (Brazil), Antoine Griezman (France) and Pavel Nedved (Czech Rep). Paul Ince (Eng) and Bastian Shweinsteger (Germany) is almost as close to these four great shooters. Carlos haf scored many important decisive goals through his powerful long shots for Brazil and his former club, Real Madrid. His speed, pace and accurate shots has been an entertainment and joy to watch.
