Recorded live at the Murmrr Theater in Brooklyn, NY on Oct 17th.
Paul and Stephen welcome Paul Rudd to discuss the genesis of his childhood fears, the difference between fears and phobias, and list all the things that give them the willies (puppets, clowns, and cockroaches OH MY!).
Join our rapt studio audience as Rudd regales with his creepy childhood bedroom decor (velvet Charlie Brown portrait anyone?), explains why his recurring nightmares always took place in grocery stores, and how he got swallowed up by a sofa bed at 9 years old (thanks, Traymon Stampley)!
Also, the 2 Pauls and Stephen recall growing up without seatbelts, debate if the world is actually more dangerous today, the many, many primates Paul has worked with, and consider the benefits of cloning and stuffing your pets.
Bonus: Paul’s love of tight spaces, facial casts, and that time a dog relieved itself on his leg.
Paul Giamatti is an award-winning actor and producer. Stephen Asma is a professor and author specializing in the philosophy of science, religion, and art. Paul Rudd is a beloved actor and comedian whose held a variety of odd jobs, including glazing hams at the Holiday Ham Company in Overland Park, KS and working as a DJ at Bar Mitzvahs.

Saw you on Seth Meyers and worked with you on "The Holdovers" Alexander Payne would mention my name and you'd move and he'd say "Not YOU Paul..This Paul!" and, staying in character, you'd scowl at me.. It was the E.R. scene. You guys both made me feel right at home.

Saw you on Colbert and I wanted to check out the podcast - so glad I did! I've shared it with friends. I am an android user, no i-anything... but I am happy to subscribe here on UA-cam and added the show to my Audible account too. Loving the weird & wonderful vibe here, please keep it up!

Been meaning to ask for the longest time.... why aren't your UA-cam videos animated anymore?

The sleeping clone is a sci fi novel that you guys need to write now. That's the only way I can imagine this working, is if the clone is kept in a perpetual coma. I mean, if that strikes you as sad, maybe we could dress the clone up festively.
