猫 シ Corp. I gotta say, I really enjoy and appreciate your work. I like how you incorporated Dutch stuff into your footage and music, since I'm from the Netherlands too
Its been a year since ive discovered this and still 층~003☭☭☭ slaps so damn hard! Thank you for making that track my life would not be the same without it!!
idk if you are going to read this comment. but its beyond amazing that you put this effort to display your art, its amazing and it something many of us connect with. thank you for your hard work . keep it up you are one of the greatest .
Watching this play for the first time at 3 in the morning with people from all over the world was such a great experience. We should do it once a year or something.
On my first trip for business, big airports, fancy hotels, and this album has been my soundtrack. Thank you 猫 シ Corp, you've made it a real experience.
I have been enjoying your music for a little while now....but I have to say that I did not know about the video productions....they add a whole other deepening-level of understanding and scope to your music. Thanks so much for what you do. My nervous-system appreciates the vibe and tenor of the music and my eyes now get the source of the inspiration for what you do. Never seen a plane being de-iced before! Many Blessings of Goodness and Health to You and Yours-
Imagine: it's a nice midsummer day, early morning, the mall just opened its doors and you're the first coming in. It's all clean, almost no one...and this music
Corp you are amazing !! i love you sooo much !!! Wish you could just know how much you saved my life with your music !! its the most therapeutic thing i know!! My mind instantly becomes zen when i listen to your work ! Thank you for existing corp, thank you for changing the world !
I have been watching this video a lot throughout lockdown, and now it's Christmas, the post 38:48 sections seem like the very DEFINITION of vaporwave, described better than it could be before. Like I'm watching an old memory, of something I am still waiting for. It makes me feel something weird, like a mix of distress and calm, like I'm glad to be here, watching and listening, but at the same time hating to not be part of it. It's like I'm being forced to be an onlooker into my own life. Depressing, yet the most calming thing I have found during this whole year long crisis (so far, at least). Thank you for the video, and I hope everyone is doing well. Despite what I say before, in general I am happier every time I come across Corp. Best wishes to all.
Corp, you're such an utter badass for that intro. Cultural merging in vaporwave truly has reached it's peak with the addition of some specifically Dutch copyright protection message lol A nice local variety of consumerism, and one different than the usual Japanese or American references. Vaporwave absorbs everything, and that's the fun of it. Especially since we can all join together and have fun with everything nearly every culture has to offer, through this sort of thing.
Exactly my thought xD used to love them and hate them as a kid when i watched vhs or dvd haha. Turns out Brein didnt even have the rights to use the track... Whoopsie!
The visuals of the first track is like a collab with the Gaylord Opryland Resort in Nashville Tennessee and the greenhouses featured in the Land pavilion in Epcot at Walt Disney World and both locations feature a relaxing boat ride just like the one featured in this video! This make me wish that Walt Disney World would be featured in a vaporwave/mallsoft album focusing on the late 80s and early 2000s as both Cinderella Castle and the Twin Towers have a distinctive but magical vibe to it!
AAAH! you have become after watching this, my favourite artist! your music and everything you do is awesome, you know how to catch the vibes not only in music also in footage! 😊 please never stop doing what you do! thank you for everything dude.
Pure magic. Chris††† made a thing like this too, some time ago, but you really reached a totally higher level. Works like this film could possibly open a new frontier in the Vaporwave universe. If only i could do stuff like this for my Vaporwave albums LäL
saw this over three years ago for the first time and its still amazing, cant wait until this footage becomes vaporwave :) (saying this now that said footage is over half a decade old) but srsly one of my favorite visual albums in vaporwave to this day, wonder how much has changed with these places
Thank you so much! Yeah I think one day this could be considered as nostalgic vaporwave, like a 'vaporception' haha. I know some of these places don't look the same anymore, for example De Oranjerie in Apeldoorn (NL) has been renovated, but turned into a soulless empty building...
So this is an awesome thing I need more of in my life. I remember getting a hold of LNS (I need a physical soon) and playing it during work. Everyone thought it was elevator music and mocked it. Wish I could have had them hear everything. It's a journey 🖖👽
I visited Forum Helsinki yesterday and ran into the staircase on one of the album covers! I got a picture of it. I would have visited Jumbo too, but I had only a few hours to spend in Helsinki. Vaporwave and mallsoft are much lesser known genres so some people would be weirded out by them. Luckily not everyone. I was really happy when watching this video again, I recognized some places from yesterday. I'm once again amazed that someone was inspired by the malls in Finland. Kiitos!! 😆
@@catsystemcorp I really would have wanted to go to Jumbo! I've heard a lot about it but it was too far away. Also, was Itis in the video? I'm not too good at recognizing malls but I think it was.
I bought the NTSC video, will it come with a digital download of the album? i know its only €1, but i was just curious since the PAL and Cassettes included the digital album too
There are some obscure parts of the Hoog Catharijne shopping mall that would be great for video's like these. I believe it underwent renovation but it used to be peak 80's mall soft heaven.
I just found out about this today, and the post said 3pm. Checked at 3:10, sold out. Refreshed multiple times out of disbelief. I'm not the only one that still likes VHS! I can't wait to watch it, so this will do for now. Though it's definitely not playing nice with my 144Hz/1ms screen. Also, the audio is far too clear.
I've always felt it in certain vaporwave works, specially yours, a reference, spiritual vindication perhaps, of a documentary called Tokyo-Ga by Win Wenders. Have u seen it before? I don't know why but besides the obvious japanese presence, there's a looming message and worldview so similar to this movie you made. To me both movie and vaporwave go beyond the aesthetic thing by itself, which the forementioned director searches for "pure images" and real life influences from the work of another famous director, Yasujiro Ozu; Vaporwave is not merely nostalgia nor amateur art, it's this type of spectre of lost human perceptions and sensibilities which were commonplace in the recent past 20-30 years, suddenly lost without explanation nor sorrow from the collective consciousness.
This is beautiful, ALITA CITY Seadome is by far my favourite! :D Does anyone know where the video for FORUMヘルシンキ is filmed? It looks like an incredible place!
I love this whole video with a passion. And do you think you could send me a link to listen to "Mesa Times" alone? It's my favorite. Thanks. Much love and hope you are doing well. 💜💜

This is what the vaporwave scene needs more of, visual experiences made with care. This is something special, i love all your music.
This should be the most popular video on youtube.
Playing your album in malls everywhere around the world would revive the "mall culture" or whatever you want to call it, I love this feeling

Fun fact: they never cleared the music themselves 😂
the intro is gold
