Does the HS20 have a stepless dimming mode (as per HS10)?

btw I found that hanging a white tissue over my cheapo to bright cob lantern diffuses it pretty nicely and if I hang my yellow microfibre dust cloth over it then I get a warm high cri like lower light. I think this is called a hack or something.

I haven't tried either the HS41 or HD50, but would thoroughly recommend the HS20 (SFT version) - I take mine everywhere!

hello friend Thank you very much for your video. perfect can you help me? I'm going to buy one through Ali. They sell 2 versions. Does XHP50.2 (5300k-5700k) and XHP50.2 (6000k-6500k) only change the color temperature? Which one do you recommend? Will the battery life/use be the same? thanks

I wouldn't get the 50.2 version, rather the SFT...

5300K will be better if you want warmer light. If choose that, when you use late in the night, it's easier on your eyes. 6000K and up could be too harsh.

    Hi
How do I know what I order is SFT ?

Very good question - you need virtual tweezers to be sure!

Nice. Impressive indeed. Quite a lot of data to look at with that one and looks much better value as an order from China. Currencies are way out of whack but I guess that's how our overlords want it.

I did ask about the price difference - Moving stuff from China to the UK and then Amazon involves considerable expense in import duty and Amazons fee's for stocking and shipping.
Most of the time I'd sooner buy from Amazon because its here next day and if there is a problem or I change my mind just send it back.
I only buy from abroad if I'm really comfortable with the seller/products and saving a suffcient amount to justify the extra wait....

@@flashlightsuk1422 Good explanation i.e. not really a currency problem at all and I largely agree with getting a faster more easily returnable service. Looking forward to trying this little Olight Olantern Classic 2 Pro in Clay Beige I ordered. Seems to be a favourable product going by reviews. Have you come across one yourself? If not then surely you have a little space some-where to add one to the collection/hoard. Just kidding I am not a hoarding enabler. I feel like I hoard to much stuff also but I'm definitely well behind you on the flashlights. Seems you do need to buy a lot of stuff to try these days and then you end up just keeping it and there seems to be so much more choice than ever, so a lot of hoarding going on to a greater or lesser extent. I won't register with Olight (even for a free gift) as I don't want the continual temptation of buying things I don't really need but just looking around the internet basically guarantees you find something to tempting.

@@geeeeeeeezzzzzzzzzz Yes I have an Olantern - for me flashlights have always a bit of a hobby since I was a kid - but its expensive! I do get the odd freebie which is why none of my videos contain any 'sales pitch' or links to sales...

@@flashlightsuk1422 Hi. Is your Olantern the Classic. I'm just starting to check out this Classic I received but I do like it already. It looks like a little mushroom or Samurai Warrior. The surprising thing is I also really like the much cheaper Vintage Lantern sort of generic brand thing I bought along with it. They are both really well made and very nice retro style lanterns with this double combination of different led types, though the Olight has better battery, faster charging and is power bank capable but the Vintage has some nice points also. I'm still waiting on the UCOs but should be here today. Anyhow definitely keepers both this Olight Classic and the Vintage. A nice haul and I would not have bought them had you not given me the idea to look at the LT1 which led me to these so that worked out pretty good as I now am well sorted for some nice lantern light. Thanks.

Sounds like a good light high cri never been interested I like one that gives the best beam range. For the dark nights.otherwise I would go walking in the daylight if I want colour accuracy..
