Thank you! There are quite a few Puchs all over the US, I've had good luck finding them in NH, VT and MA. And these peds are all modified to go significantly over 30 km/h :)
My Puchs are modified too but this is a reason to pay lots of money to the police if they get me. And i could say good bye to my Puch and driver licenses.

Clemens Meier I understand you're Dutch. If so, they'll no longer hold your bike when they find out your motorcycle goes too hard, they will only fine you ( What is absurd anyways).
123 456 WOK status translated to English: "waiting for registration" a WOK basically means you have to revert your moped back to the standards it originally was. And then pay like 80 euro to let it get registerred again. But thats not really worth it all the times becouse if your moped goes 15km/h to fast the fine is atleast 150 euro :/
I bought a 79 Puch about a year ago for nostalgic reasons (my dad rode a moped to work when I was 4) and it has to be one of the best things I’ve ever purchased. Didn’t know much about them but love riding it around my town in Southern California and turning heads. This video gives of really good vibes. Well done!

In Switzerland you have to wear a helmet and if de Puch/Mofa runs faster than 30 km/h or sounds louder than original you get problems with the Police.

Clemens Meier luckily cops in the U.S. have no idea what they're looking at. I have gotten pulled over doing over 40mph, just a small fine and slap on the wrist.

In austria you can drive with 15years a motorbike with 50ccm and i isn not allowed that it goes faster than 45 km/h... But all motorbikes with 50ccm goes 55 or 60 km/h
I also have a puch mv 50 which goes 45km/h because there is all original.

@Quirin M. Aah this is sad. Unfortunately no. I've since moved into my own place and don't have the space for it sadly. I still think about it regularly but it's not looking likely any time soon, definitely one day though.

thanks for the kind words, if you like this I bet you'll love the sequel! My advice for Puch purchasing would be to start checking Craigslist/FB/etc daily and strike when something pops up, they're getting harder and harder to come by nowadays. Also if possible go with someone who's super familiar with Puchs so they can check it out pre-purchase
Puch has two different moped engines I know of the za50 which is a two speed and the e50 which is a one speed. For your 1st puch go with the e50. The e50 is much less complicated and you can run more hp threw them with less issue

How fast are they allowed to drive? And what are the rules about tuning exhaust and stuff Like That over in the US :)?
technically to be classified as a moped it needs to be less than 50cc and go no faster than 30mph, but most people tune well past that and just claim its still 50cc, nobody notices ;)

How fast are your Puch man?
they all vary quite a bit between all the Puchs we have amongst the friend group. In this vid the blue and grey one with no headlight both go 40+, but as we try more Puchs and get more experience, top speed is less of a goal now compared to reliability and low end torque
