Me and my brothers would gather around to watch bonanza as kids , Lorne was the voice of reason on every episode , I've never heard of any controversy involving him
Absolutely, we feel the same way! Thank you for sharing your sentiments and for watching our content. Which Bonanza episode is the most memorable for you?
Lorne just nailed his role of Ben Cartwright on Bonanza which I still watch occasionally. He was the kind of father every boy wished they had. Kind and understanding yet tough as nails. 😊😊❤❤
Every Sunday evening when I was growing up was devoted to "Bonanza." That had to be my dad's favorite show, so I watched it with him, it was a great bonding time for our family.
Thank you so much for sharing your life story. We're glad to know that you're a fan of Lorne and Bonanza. If we may ask, which episode is the most memorable for you?
One of the greatest actor ever lived this guy was a great father. Actor I love watching Bonanza I grew up watching and it's one of my favorite western series. 🇯🇲❤️
Just loved His examples begin a parent ... loved His examples how to deal with serious situation ...even though HE was rich He Neve showed off and help each and everyone that he came across R.I.E.P Ben Carwight
We are still watching some of the episodes every day. I would say that the whole series would be very interesting all the way till the end. Their family bounding is very heart- touching and well behaviors. Father(Ben cartwright's ) and sons relationship is very strong in this series.
We're happy to know that you and your mom loved Bonanza. Thank you so much for sharing your life story. If we may ask, which episode appealed to you the most?
Lorne Greene was the fatherly and grandfatherly figure for men to imitate due to his strong and endearing qualities that he brought to the characters that he played. I can't imagine Ben Cartwright being played by anyone other than Lorne Greene and as Admiral Odama in Battlestar Galactica he seemed to have the weight of all humanity on his shoulders but he was like a Ben Cartwright in outer space. But his private life surely showed his character especially when being involved in helping animals. An exceptional man.
I have watched many " Bonanza " episodes and what I admired about the series was that there were no ' copy cat ' actors. Each one had their own personalities. And it wasn't always about fighting and gunplay. Some episodes were humorous about helping people instead of killing them. A TRUE MASTERPIECE OF A PROGRAM !
I saw an interview with Lorne Greene. When asked about four men living on the ponderosa and never any women around. The interviewer asked "were you all gay?" Lorne replied " no, but thank god Hop Sing was"
Yes I'm a long time fan of Bonanza great show. I don't think I missed too many. I watched a lot of cowboy shows. It was the fun thing to do on Saturday.
Un actor increíble por su manera de ser, de vivir y el legado que dejó en su MARAVILLOSA SERIE DE BONANZA….veo cada día sus películas pues desde pequeña las veíamos en familia con mis padres❤
Lorne Greene was a very good actor in his time ! The episode of Wagon Train, Battlestar Galactica and Bonanza I watched and a few other movies he played in. Those are the ones I caught a glimpse of him and recognize him. One night I wanted to see a science fiction series or a science fiction movie, and too my surprise there was Battlestar Galactica. And I said okay I can do this and that I did ! I didn't get to say this but rest in peace Ben Cartwright.
Not a Bonanza guy, myself... bit before me, really. Battlestar? That's more my speed and era... The OG version of Commander Adama! Also remember his part on Roots and his classic Alpo commercials! Code Red was a fave of mine as a lil kid, too! I recall he had a nature show, too. I'd confuse him with Marlin Perkins and my dad would laugh and correct me! lol! Good times, good times!!
Lauren Green what a best actress the Ponderosa ever had he was a husband a father I always loved the Ponderosa Bonanza I have started watching banana when I was a young girl used to come home from church on Sunday run and turn the TV on to Channel 5 here in Chicago to watch the Bonanza God Rest his soul Mr Lauren Green
Bonanza was the Swiss Army knife of tv shows …. Sometimes funny, sometimes dramatic…. Always a great show As for Mr. Green, I think Ben Cartwright over a period of time became more like Loren. Too bad Gunsmoke was on a different network…. I think it’d been so cool for Marshal Dillion to pass through Virginia city….
If everybody will be like the Cartwright family America will be a better country and Americans will be the greatest in the whole world 🌍❤️❤️❤️watching Bonanza.🇺🇲🦅
Don't listen to Hairpie, bub! Banana was a damn fine show and the best source of potassium for your buck! Lorna Grain as ol' Bon Carpwhistle? Oooooweee! They don't make telephone like that anymore! By the way, you spelled banana perfectly! You don't need to learn nuffin! Someone needs to learn how to stay in their lane, me thinks!
Usually people who turn out compassionate and kind experienced compassion and kindness early on. Most serial killers and violent offenders were horribly abused as children. It's interesting how it's taken the authorities, government, social services, etc, so long to connect the dots. A good case in point is that back in the 70s and 80s serial killers like John Wayne Gasey, Ted Bundy, and The Hill Side Strangler, etc were commonplace compared to today. I suppose if I connect the dots myself all this makes sense because I clearly remember walking around Hollywood with my father as a child around 1977 78 and seeing girls as young as 13 selling themselves on the street corners. You don't see that anymore and serial killers are rare today.
Lorne was spectacular on Bonanza. However, he's a completely different man on his interviews. I was stunned how different he was in real life, I could not see any likeness to his character on Bonanza. I was disappointed. Bonanza was his big break in acting. Only Pernell Roberts left and did not appreciate his fame. Sorry.

He was known as, "The Voice of Death" in Canada as he was the man assigned to read the names of the dead everyday on the radio during WW2

Bonanza was on 14 seasons on NBC.
Yes, it was a great, memorable show. Which episode is your favorite?
@@FactsVerse Too many to list.
Ringo first Rap song
Its Lorne Greene not Lorn Green.
Am watching the whole series ever made if anyone wants them after me pm me
👍
Too bad Hoss didn't come to his funeral, seems pretty stuck upon his part.
Dan blocker died in 71 or 72
He had a good excuse...
Bonanza only seemed to run for a zillion years. In reality the program lasted 1 episode. It was so boring it appeared to last 12 years.
True that! 🤣
