We did see this neighborhood while visiting Austin. Unfortunately it was too far from Austin and it’s amenities. Yes the prices were by far less but I wasn’t sold on the lot sizes and lack of surrounding amenities. Great neighborhood for first time buyers for sure.

What other communities would you suggest?

I live near the Santa Rita Ranch area and there is a new community called ‘Bluffview’ that is currently selling I believe right by Leander with good schools. Travisso is currently in phases that are only accessed by steep roads and I highly don’t recommend it. The schools aren’t that great either. I think vizcaya is nice but has bad schools. Do you care about school ratings? If not, then I would say Vizcaya is a great idea! But bluffview seams to be at a more quiet place. You should check it out! Bar W Ranch is also opening near this community too! Bar W is a huge community that will be home to over 2000 homes I think.

Then I come home and see your comment😄. I didn’t know that about Travisso. Prices have really shot up there as well as Viscaya since COVID-19. Schools are one of the top priorities so I’ll definitely look more into those two communities on Regan Blvd. Thanks again!

Remember that the price of admission is a starting point. This model has ~$75K plus in upgrades. Oh, and the ever present "lot premium". Still, a hell of a lot cheaper than California and it's in Texas too!

It has a MUD tax. All these NEW developed areas where master planned community goes has them. You get a lower property tax rate within Austin city limits or where the city has been developed many many years ago.

Part of the reason of high property tax rate is Texas doesn't have a state tax.

It's beautiful in the outside but inside it's just too much!! I get the design but the distribution of the rooms I feel like is kinda weird!!!😂🤷🏽♀️
