Thank you for this, it’s so funny 😆 When JK said ITS that he didn’t want to drop the honorifics because it can lead to ‘misunderstandings’ i was puzzled because i saw him a number of times calling him Tae, Taehyung and V. And that was in their debut days. The whole thing made me confused cause why would he lie about it? Tae had said that he wants to be treated by JK as a same age friend. Anyways there is nothing more special, adorable and intriguing than Taekook so I’ll continue to love them and enjoy all those fun moments from the passed and the present💜💚
Well, I think we don’t have actual evidence of JK speaking informally to Tae on a daily basis, just instances of him dropping honorifics on punctual occasions (mostly when joking) and also speaking in a mix of formal and semi-formal (I’ve been reading and saying “hyung” is only one aspect of formal speech...plus, even when you speak informally you normally still use the term “hyung”). Apparently, Koreans are surprised that BTS still use formal speech with each other after so many years of living together - it not being that common - and they think it’s admirable. On the other hand, others suspect they choose to still use formal speech on camera because some Koreans could have an issue with members not respecting their elders and it’s safer to take that approach. Possibly marketing, but who knows. I could believe BTS truly interact like that and it helped them keep a peaceful atmosphere. What I find suspicious is how easily Jk drops the “hyung” title with Tae when he’s mad and has a spontaneous reaction with low self-awareness, like when Tae blew the candles and he said “Tae!” - which btw is an informal nickname. It just came out way too naturally...and regardless of them actually preserving formal speech or not (I’ve read some married couples still preserve it) the way they interact is far from formal. Jk crossed all possible barriers - constantly challenging Tae’s age - and it’s quite ridiculous they now come up with this story of “the age gap having a toll on them”. He even takes care of him as if his elder more often than not, even to this day. Anyways, we know what’s going on because it falls line with the other tactics BH has been pulling. I think, despite being pretty mischievous himself, Jungkook can also be quite serious and focused and I get the impression that he can sometimes get in a bit of a mood where he doesn’t really wanna play.. whereas Tae can be a lot and not really know when to stop sometimes lol. So in that sense I think it kind of seems like Jungkook is the hyung because he has to reign Tae in a fair bit. Jungkook is also pretty competitive and I’ve noticed he gets a bit frustrated with Tae sometimes during games and challenges because Tae doesn’t really care that much about winning and will not take it as seriously as he does. These two have so much sibling energy, it’s cute

What i love now about how their relationship evolved. Jk has matured SO MUCH i feel like tae is like 5 years younger. Tae loves being pampered/fed/taken care of . Yes, I'm afraid that's exactly what's happening. It's sad, but I think they agreed to do what's best for the group. I wish they could at least act as friends. Jungkook and tae knew each other from their trainee days. So i guess he used honorofics during that time and became closer at their debut days

I know! It also bothers me and I actually cried when the episode aired, because it felt like a punch, but the conversation didn’t make sense at all...there’s a lot of inconsistencies. I agree with the analysis Peachlesslyyy did on it, so no point in me also making a vid going over the entire convo and reasons behind it.

Taekook were very close from beginning, to the point that Tae said he promised Jk that they would enlist together and it wasn’t about the current them drifting apart but Jk saying when they were younger he was formal with him, which made me cry!

It was the fact that they themselves made those statements that hurt me a lot...but I understand they are in a difficult position and their relationship is private after all. If it's for their safety and well-being, as well as for the group's interest, I completely understand.

I think nowadays they don’t really play fight with the same intensity. They definitely started as just friends, so they acted as such x) The thing is that you could see they interacted as if they were around the same age, and that went on for many years. That ITS talk ..at least half of it is scripted ...anyone except anti taekook can see that...like Tae admitted he was in the burnout phase then..it becomes more difficult to reach out to our partners in such mindstate than our friends...I think that’s what happened here ...Tae wanted to have that talk....what they showed us, the talk they had is def scripted with lot of inconsistencies...just to eliminate doubts since it’s the biggest ship already ...if u noticed we don’t hear half the conversation with bgm..so what we saw was nothing real...also we started getting more moments on cam after this ...BigHit made sure taekook got their talk and at the same time eliminated extra doubts and gave a reason for more to moments on cam in future with this single strategy

What i love now about how their relationship evolved. Jk has matured SO MUCH i feel like tae is like 5 years younger. Tae loves being pampered/fed/taken care of . The most telling is in "in the soop2" was when jk is there watching jins game and drinking a beer-Tae pouts for him to cook him something and literally PULLS JK from his seat to cook for him. Its such a cute moment and jk was like an older brother cooking for his bratty younger brother. I also notice jk is VERY CONSIDERATE of other people. Helping clean up messes of staff+strangers/watching him take care of bam/ Its amazing to see his evolution. Tae always seems the same and jin. Im not saying theyre immature just VERY PLAYFUL and childlike. They chose to have fun and be silly. I see jk being serious as hes getting older and have spurts of playfulness thrown in.

Yes, I'm afraid that's exactly what's happening. It's sad, but I think they agreed to do what's best for the group. I wish they could at least act as friends. Apparently BH thought this strategy was necessary as they are one of the biggest ships in kpop and a slip-up would garner a lot of attention if there were no meassures in place.
