Thanks so much for this really honest well done break done of both skates. So great to hear companies like razors and rollerblade may be helping you out! Thx again for the video!!
Thanks brother. I ride SL 8/9 with a stretched 9.5 Intuition liner. i was contemplating the Blank Keane. I love your delivery and information. Your skates look like you blade for real and I was listening to a blader, not a UA-camr, talk to me about the products. @7:50, that’s the best soul plate comparison I’ve ever witnessed. The Shift 8/9 fits too tight and slim for me at a size 10us. ✌🏽
I ride the SL8/9 with 10.5 Intuitions but I'm giving them up. My feet are too precious and I'm approaching 39 y/o. I also have the SHIFTs in size 10.5 but I find those to be tight in many areas. I'm on a QUEST for the perfect skate and I'm considering skating USD SHADOWS or something else moving forward. --- Thank you for the the kind words. MEANS THE WORLD TO ME. ONE LOVE
Good bearings can really add the the quality and smoothness of your ride, as well as added speed. I always skated super Swiss 6 ball bearings back in the day and could tell the difference over a cheap bearing. Also good wheels is a huge factor as well. Different diameters, durometer rating, and urethane type all impact the ride. Imo for bearings it's bones or bust, but I have heard the blanks come with superb bearings stock. I haven't been on blades in years, but have had the itch to start again and the blanks look like a great skate as well at the fr pottier's. It's just hard to find a boot that fits my foot, having really wide feet.
I agree on your statements about bearings and larger wheels. Regarding the width of the skate, I believe the Rollerblade Blanks are wider than most skates on the market, especially at the toe box.
I just purchased the roller blades blank Sk pro… hopefully looking to get sturdy on em…. Been with rollerblade since about 14 stopped for some years and decided to get right back into itch with the same brand that started the love for aggressive skating 💪🏻 thanks for the content
one of the big reasons i've ended up sticking with Razors SL in the last 10 years or so has been that they do a 9-10UK (10-11US) shell. being a 10UK foot, most brands (USD, Roces etc) so 9-9.5UK and 10-11UK shells (or sometimes 10-12), with the 9-9.5UK always ending up being that bit too tight and the 10-11UK feeling like my foot is moving around inside the shell constantly. Defo interested in trying out the Blanks, skated RB Alphas back in the day and absolutely loved them, and the Blanks look great. Nice video, interesting to see them compared in detail
Hi - the heel is raised, ever so slightly, with the shock absorber sitting recessed within the heel. The entire foot bed is designed with a slight incline that is consistent from toe to heel.
Hey bro I saw this video for the first time and before u said it I knew it was new York. I was thinking Brooklyn or Queens. I live in PHA in South Minneapolis Minnesota. I cud tell u had that new York flavor very wu tang vibe 90s vibes. I'm in my 40s now just got back into skating. I skated from 97 to 2007. I skated Rollerblade brand. Now I have razors cult shima 3 remastered, razors Andrew broom pro shift skates and I just ordered the new Iqon AG 10 boots with an Iqon AG60 C frame. A carbon frame. Tho I wonder if I shud send the AG 10 back and get the Them 909 skate. The AG 10 comes in the mail tomorrow I just am so old school that all this new tech scares the shit outta me! I hope I love em I'm just Soo big on durability. I like the old school flavor of a plastic boot and basic shape. I just got a huge sale price on the Iqon that I went for it..all carbon and kevlar mix. I just subscribed to your channel and just showing support. I'm over here dodging gun fire just trying to skate haha no joke! I teach dance and I cut hair as a hairstylist. But I love to skate and it feels good to be at it again. Thanks for a great video. I learned Alot. I have alot to learn all over again. Be well and enjoy this summer!
Two middle wheels are known as "anti-rockers" and are generally made of hard plastic, designed to reduce wheel bite when grinding on the center "groove" or "channel" of the skate chassis (aka frame). The alternative is to completely remove the middle wheels but then you risk tripping over stairs, curbs and uneven surfaces.
Ab-so-LOOT-ly. I love Razors for the downsizing ability. Not sure what's going on with Remz these days and I definitely feel your TOE PAIN. The struggle for a perfect skate is REALLY Real.
Salomons had the perfect laces. Since the eyelets had grooves the round laces could easly slide inside them and they had notches to hook up the laces so tying them was a snap. Bring back the Salomon st
Reign Liner gives you way more room in SLS than intuitions just so you know. Im sure that will give you more comfort than you have currently in the sls
Have you tried your natural size on shifts? Been skating for 20 years as well, I;m between sizes and have same problem, 8-9 Razors SL are way too big, toe cutted 6-7 shells still way to small, Cults sucks in terms of bolt receptors design and Genesys are way too bulky and heavy, decided to tried Shifts after skating Carbons for 5 years. they're good bro
Yes. I have the Jeph Howard SHIFTs in 10.5 but they're too narrow from the bottom of the foot to the top of the foot.. I'm not too familiar with CULTs but I have tried the SSMs (Shima Skate Manufacturing) which use the same CULT shell. They fit well but were too bulky for my small stature. GENESYS were my original go to skate. USD Carbons are one of my favorites. I picked up a new pair last year and sold them since they fit tighter than the USD Carbon 2-3 models. I'm currently reviving my OLIVE GREEN USD Carbons. They still fit and feel amazing - no ""Planned Obsolescence".
Not sure if I replied to your comment on another video too! There is a little tool in the box that you place in the cuff bolt receiver, to stop the receiver spinning as you tighten the cuff bolt
I'm not sure. I tried to remove my cuff bolts and failed. Or I should say that I gave up. I'll double check. They might be a (2) part screw with bolt and bolt spacer.
lo... HERE WE GOOO! lol. Queens is probably the best economically and geographically mainly because it's home to both of NYC's airports, La Guardia and JFK International. For skating, it could be as well but for navigation, the streets are UNSIMPLY, CONFUSING.
@New Wave Skate nothing much, my brother working, taking care of my family vaccinations, an sesh solo in NJ city lol I'm like the black sheep in the park 😆
NYC stand up! Skater from Staten circa 93. Happy to see this
Thank you for checking in with us. Happy to be a voice for the community.

killing off the roach for the intro is all I needed to know that I came to the right channel for blade reviews
HAHAHAHA, hilarious. Thank you! I get nervous on camera so had to smoke one first.

Great video Ado
Great review! Exactly what I was looking for!
Thank you for watching!
Great review! I was wondering if the Rollerblade Blanks come with the heel raised or flat (like the USD Aeons)?
Hi - the heel is raised, ever so slightly, with the shock absorber sitting recessed within the heel. The entire foot bed is designed with a slight incline that is consistent from toe to heel.
Dope video brotha

What are the 2 Wheels in the middle for?

@@newwaveskate Thank you so much 🙏
Toe cut the razor with a dremmel. Then you got yhe space
Thanks. Looking into it
ya I love razors for downsizing bro. The Sls and Gens just feel right. I skate size 9 remz also but they kill my toes after a few hours skating street

It may vary by size and liner model. I find the Intuitions were most comfortable for my feet and I did try numerous lines in my other SLs.
Hope you see this i skate a 10-11 sl and was wondering width wise how the blank sk feels is it close to being the same width wise in toe area

Imma get some new wave wheels next
lol - New Wave baby
I tried tightening cuff bolts on Blanks is it supposed to spin freely?

Oh snap. That would make sense now. Going to double back on this. Thank you for sharing. Cheers!
It's Razors btw not razor, great blades also!!
Blanks are so heavy imo
1000%. lol. I could not agree more.
Razor eyelets sucks, they either fall off or rusts and breaks your laces.
Queens is the best borough hands down.

So where can I get some good communist bearings?
You was talkking new GCs I c now... I rock em
Lol I get what he meant , things like liners are a ploy too .. spend half hundreds of dollars to get liners that feel like cardboard
HAHAHA I love it. USSR or CHINA... great bearings can be found in other sports, and directly from apps like DH GATE and ALIBABA
Very good point. Its all about the MULA, PESO, MONEY, DINERO, BENJAMINs.
Thank you papi 🙏
My pleasure.
