To our viewers who always show such care for us,
I edited this video yesterday (April 13th, 2024) so it’s almost been a month since this week happened… nonetheless editing this had me shaking crying in a corner downstairs. To me - it’s the opposite of anything we’ve ever shared. It was hard to watch every clip full of stress, sadness and each day it seemed another problem arose in our lives. I personally would not have wanted to share this - however the last 2 years so many of you have been on our life journey with us and have rooted for us, uplifted us, and been there with your sweet words in the comments and kind gestures you’ve sent us to our PO Box… i know our pets are a HUGE part of every video we share, and I get so many comments about our cat Menunckey and I know for fact that so many of you loved and adored her.. so I did not want to stop documenting and I am choosing to share this so that there is closure on the special life she lived… rather than just glossing over it and having to film an uncomfortable aftermath video. It’s been almost a month and we are doing much better - though the absence of our sweet kitty is still greatly felt in our house. We love her so much and miss her every day. 💔
Thanks to everyone who reached out during this period of time and to those of you who sent such heartwarming gifts - we are so grateful and cherish them all.

Menunckey is not gone- all our loved furry family members stay with us in spirit. She was such a special and lovely girl. What a doll and so loving to her younger brother and sister pups. She will not be forgotten.

Stephen, I hope you know that you are a warrior! Through your grief you persevered and did what you needed to keep your family going. Bryan’s illness, the pretties problems, Kenzie’s needs were all met and cared for as you worried about Menunkey and did your best for her. Thank you for sharing your life and vulnerability with us. It just shows what a healthy happy Kitty Menunckey was, Thanks to you! This truly showed that you’re not only beautiful on the outside, Super Beautiful! It shows you are just as beautiful on the inside! When my Chihuahua past at 14 years, I cried for 3 months! I have no words. I am so SO sorry for your whole family. My partner and I have three cats and have had one we had for 19 years pass away. It is ABSOLUTELY the worst. The pain is just awful! No less than losing a human family member. Please find comfort in knowing you did all you could, and remember what a LOVING and happy home you gave him. My thoughts and prayers are with you at this very very sad time. Please take care of yourself and stay strong. 💔

Our cat is 17 and now in early stage kidney failure. Everyday is precious. My heart breaks for you guys. I do believe they go to a better place and your precious fur baby is free of her aging body. Much love and light!🙏

the one thing i know is if a animal in a family is sick or something is wrong and there is other animals around that are close to the one is sick it means that it's almost time to let the one that is not doing good to let it or them go and rest in peace and not suffer and sending your family love and support . I've never seen a loving cat that loves dogs as much as humans. Thats a testament to the character of Menunckey how she loved unconditionally and she learned from the Holgates how to do that no matter what race, color, creed, religion, sexual orientation. Thank you for sharing and documenting all of the memorable encounters to all of us in a way that makes us feel like we're a part of the family as well. I just can't describe the amount of sadness I feel right now as my heart is broken along with you. The tears are flowing heavily today and I want you all to know that i'll be thinking of you during this difficult time. RIP Menunckey, the amount of love and support you have spans the entire globe, but that still isn't enough love that you've shown to the Holgates and the world.

In 2019, we lost our precious kitty Lily. She was with us just shy of 18 years. Menunckey will always be in your heart and part of the little pretty crew.

just remember she isn't really gone her spirit lives on in your hearts. she knew it was her time to go and she didn't hesitate to hold on any longer she knew she did her part and she stuck with you as long as she could. she knew that she did everything she could and she knew she could leave and go to heaven and be with other cats in the fields. she will always be here no matter what

You are not expected to put on a happy face when the going gets tough. It never gets easier. We just find better ways to cope. I know that is not what you want for your viewers, but I am genuinely sad at this moment. Maybe it is because I have two orange tabbies or probably I simply care about you kind individuals. I bet Menunkey is on Bryans mom's lap at this moment. Nice work Kenzy with the cheer moves! I am glad no one is sick anymore. There is a balance in life. Good things are bound to be on their way. Losing a pet - especially one who’ve you had for 15 years… is sometimes more emotional & painful than human family/friends b/c you’re with them more and quite frankly, pets are unconditional love. I’m so so sorry for your loss. This is heartbreaking. 💔 😢

The loss of a cat dog or any pet is horrible I have lost two cats and I still remember them to this day your kitty will always be in your heart and you will have fond memories love you guys i cried with you the look in her eyes she knew that you loved her
I am utterly shattered for you guys. Watching this took me back to last September when we lost our pug to lung cancer. She was 10 years old and our only pet.. I would gladly give a year of my life to have an extra year with her!! I'm so sorry for your loss.

So sorry you lost your kitty. I've lost 2 dogs (family dogs when I still lived at home) and it never gets easier. 1 had liver cancer the other bad arthritis. Just know she's not in pain anymore. She lived a long beautiful life and that's the best gift you could of given her. I hope that brings you some comfort. ❤️

I already had red on Instagram that you're beautiful little girl had crossed over to the Rainbow Bridge and I cried so much that night my boyfriend tried to console me as best as he could. Whoo this hit my heart! I had my Seal Point Siamese Reily for 14 years he passed away Valentine’s Day 2018 from heart failure. When I say this cat was a part of my soul he was EVERYTHING! He would rest his paw on my wrist and alert when I was having takycardia episodes he saved my life through my hardest years. I held him and gave him all the kisses until he took his last breath I see any Siamese and I just want to sob I still love cats but they are not my Reily

We also have a kitty who acts more like a dog (plays fetch, sleeps on us, plays, is cuddly, not aloof, etc.). I was always fascinated how your Menunckey would lie down on or right next to your doggies. Many kitties will not do that. Losing a fur child is soooooo tough, especially when you have been through so many milestones with her. Her loyalty was very apparent in videos. There are no words, but just keep thinking about her & even looking at photos & videos of her as much as your heart desires..

My heart is seizing up because I've never had a dog or cat in my life because my parents never wanted one, and where I live now doesn't allow them, so I've always been Tia, to all my friends and families pets. In 2023, my best friend called me to tell me our beloved dog had passed away suddenly with zero warning. She just came out to the yard and found him dead, and then my brother's dog died a month later. On top of all of that both my dad and uncle found out they had the same cancer within six months of each other, so when it rains, IT POURS! As hard as it all is, it just teaches us what love is, to be loved, to give love, who is important to us in life, and how to cherish the ones we have left. RIP to your dear sweet kitty. She will live on in your heart forever.
