  • This Expandacraft modular boat is 16'9 long and 6 feet wide so it's far more stable than any kayak. Also, it breaks down to fit in the back of an SUV or mini van. Total boat weight is only about 210 lbs. The heaviest single part is a deck plank at 16 lbs. MADE IN USA. Cost is about $2,200.00 without the motor. visit www.expandacraft.com for more info.

    I know this is old but I enjoy every video from you. Now that I have mine I can also do everything you advertised. I will take all five of us on my twin outriggers canoe. It’s huge and takes nothing to manage. Best ideas ever!

      I'm glad you get the reason I made these hull parts to transform into anything you can dream. Can't wait to see what all you do with yours.

    That's what I need. I'm diabed and big guy. Can't use kayaks due to my disibility. So I do have a small 6 ft pontoon like your in but my feet for in the water my butt stays dry but I made a think for my feet to come out of the water but it kills my knee after a while. But it's not made for a big guy really. I leaned back last year to get someting off a pole and the pressure of the tubs going under the water popped the plus out which is stupid it's like a saucer side and easy to pop off. So yeah the pressure pips it off it fills fast and it slipped backwards. My daughter yelled dove in off the docks she was worried being disabled so can't kick my legs to swim. So I love her for that. But I did loose my birthday rod and reel I just got we was at the river for my birthday which was a year ago it's July 30th. So I'll have this boat again. But I'll have to be carful take a old fishing pole out not a good one. Took 10 years to afford a new rod and reel. I don't buy new cause I own a kids non profit fishing group so I buy used clean or fix. I'll use till I find a kid in need and then give away. So 5 or 10 dollars is easier to give than a 100 dollar or 40 dollar set. Cause that's 4 to 8 rod and reel I can buy with 40. Sorry off track. But I love your set up I've seen vidoes haven't spoke much but I believe we spoke 6 months ago. I wish I could afford one I've tried to save but single parent living off little disibility. Yeah not happening. But I'm selling my bass boat I'm so sick to use. Plus my neightber stole my starter. But I'll keep in touch watch more videos maybe I'll get blessed then get to get one. Then I can make videos for my UA-cam channel. My followers would love your water crafts. Have a great week sorry for so much to read. God bless

    very nice, great ingenuity! opens a lot of possibilities...do you have some sailing footage? I have no specific knowledge, but I wonder if the maneuverability would increase if the side hulls were shorter than the middle hull? I'm thinking this could be important for sailing it, for sharp turns.

    Do you have a "top speed" with this kind of set up? Will it do 7 or 8 mph safely in this configuration?

    • @Expandacraftboats
      @Expandacraftboats  6 років тому

      Sorry to reply so late. This one will do about 8 mph with that 3.5 on it. However, a crack above idle gets you 5 mph at 20 MPG!

    how well do these hold up on rivers hitting the rocks etc.

    • @Expandacraftboats

      The hulls are made from the same durable plastic as most kayak and the joints are very solid too. I wouldn't take it down the Colorado, but there is safety too in that each hull section is a sealed chamber. You'd have to poke a hole is several sections to have an issue

    Can you take 2 double hull 12 footers and connect them to make a 4 hull wide boat?

    • @Expandacraftboats
      @Expandacraftboats  7 років тому

      Sure, being modular, the only limit is your imagination.

    • @virginiapaddler4857

      So I could buy 3 boats for my kids to use individually....but connect them together to make a camp platform.

    • @Expandacraftboats
      @Expandacraftboats  7 років тому

      Yep, that's exactly the point of this product. You can always change how you put it together for how you plan to use it that day. It's like a Lego Boat. :-) We offer all kinds of kits for sail, row, pedal,paddle and power. Some clients like to build their own creation. One client even made an electric paddle wheel boat with our hulls.

      DO you have any vids of a quad hull? or how 2 12 foot kayaks would connect to each other? I have seen a lot of triples, but no quads. I dont see how the 2 separate boats connect to each other. thanks!!! I love the idea just need to make sure it will do what I want.

    • @Expandacraftboats
      @Expandacraftboats  7 років тому +1

      We will soon have video of a client who is building a quad for a 1400 mile river trip. There are two ways to connect the hulls, with risers and a cross tube on top, or through the slot in the center hull section. You can literally put as many hulls in a row at whatever width you desire. Check out some of the other videos on my channel and you'll see a few options then give me a call. I'd be glad to help guide you to the right choice for your needs. Wesley

    Are these Coast Guard certified?

    • @Expandacraftboats

      In Florida, any motorized boat over 16 feet must get an inspection to get your registration. It's not complicated or expensive but you can't get it at the DMV. Our boats pass with ease as they exceed CG regs. Most kayaks where the owners adds a motor, do not meet the regs.
