Las Salinas de Fuencaliente & El Faro | Excursion | La Palma

In this video, I will take you with me to the lighthouse, also known as El Faro in Spanish and I will also show you the salt fields, Las Salinas Marinas. Saskia, my travel companion, since the first day that I met her, she has been telling me about Las Salinas Marinas de Fuencaliente, she told me very excited that she wanted to visit the salt fields and the lighthouse.
Las Salinas de Fuencaliente and El Faro is not far from the Esencia de la Palma hotel. By bus, it will take you around 15 minutes to get there. The best part of this excursion is, that you can take public transport to the El Faro and Las Salinas de Fuencaliente. The bus stop is by the lighthouse. I was very excited about this excursion because we could take the public bus and I was going to visit something the place where they produce sea salt.
The area around Las Salinas de Fuencaliente en El Faro is beautiful and very windy. I was wearing a dress that day, well that was not a success. If you are going for an excursion there, make sure to wear pants or something long. As mentioned before, the area is wonderful, you have the ocean, the salt, and rocks and in the background, you see the black colour of the lava landscape. It is a selection of interesting scenarios to see.
After exploring the area of the lighthouse and the salt fields, we went for lunch in a restaurant named Restaurante Temático El Jardín de la Sal. They have delicious local wine that is produced in Fuencaliente and the food tasted amazing! With a glass of wine in my hand, I enjoyed the beautiful ocean view. It was a successful excursion!
One of the best parts about this excursion is that it is nearby the Esencia de La Palma hotel. You can take public transport in front of the hotel and within 15 minutes you are at El Faro and Las Salinas de Fuencaliente. If you go on the excursion in the morning, you can enjoy the swimming pool in the afternoon. Well, that is what I did that day 😊
My excursion to Las Salinas de Fuencaliente and El Faro was a success and I have made some beautiful new travel memories.
