Thank you so much for making this video. As you may know, 650 vertical twins are my favourite type of bike and the 1969/70 Triumph Bonneville is one of my all time favourites. This one in your video is just beautiful. The main advantage of the Japanese W650 and XS650 is their reliability and oil tight engines. The main advantage of the Bonneville is its size: at around 30kg lighter than its Japanese cousins it is a much smaller motorbike. Thank you again for this wonderful video. I will definitely watch it many times ☺️
I look up to Triumph and respect it. Also the Japanese motorcycle makers worked towards Triumph twins in 60s. I am sure that Triumph continues being still a great motorcycle!
Triumph makes many retro motorbikes today, including the Speed Twin, which I love. But in the 60s and 70s the Japanese manufacturers started making reliable motorbikes and many of these were 4 cylinder bikes , which everyone wanted more than the Bonneville 650. I had a Norton Commando in the 70s but later switched to a Suzuki, Honda and Yamaha, all 4 cylinder bikes. Only now as I grow older, I prefer twin cylinder classic bikes and retro bikes as they remind me of my youth ☺️
I fully understand how you feel. Old British twin motorbikes are truly respectable and admirable. I was born in Japan, so those British bikes were not near to me in 1970s, however I long for old British twins. In the present day you can choose up to many different types of bike. In other words, we are living in a blessed era.
Great looking bike. I have a 69. This bike looks to have a mix of parts from different years though? Single leading shoe front brake is pre 68, incorrect tank badges and knee pads. Ignition key on the 69 isn’t down on the left, incorrect rear shocks too.
Wonderful bike with great heritage and authentic long-stroke engine. Modern Triumph (or RE) retro-classics use modern short-stroke designs. One honorable exeption is the Kawasaki W650/W800. They are the most authentic retro-classics i.m.h.o..
@@King07T Yes, these old Triumphs seem to be the archetype of the vertical twin motorcycle. Although I don't know who invented these first. But when it comes to modern Triumph retro-bikes, they have lost that spirit.

You are a true fan of all motorbikes. Thank you.
Magnificent motorcycle that celebrated a great comeback in the present day 👍
Triumph T120 series are the masterpiece of classic twins!

Thank you for sending me the detailed information. I will tell the owner about it.

I think, Triumph is the mother vertical twin motorcycle. and Japanese motorcycle makers Learnt from Triumph.
