Precise work. Details. Well cut. Nice background music!
The vignettes in Pilentum videos are always a charming counterpoint to the passing trains. Thanks!
Convincing Southern scene. The third rail adds a touch of realism that many modellers omit! Thanks for uploading.
Very interesting, the modelling is really good
Wow enjoyed your latest video thanks for sharing.
Thanks very much for replying to my comment. It's nice to see other people's work to get idea to improve my layout. Take Care & Stay Safe.
Time to service...clean contacts clean wheels for smoother operation. Perhaps even check your reostat control.
This is a work of art rather than a mere model railway!! I, too have a layout that I already call Walmington-on-Sea. It will, when the main work is completed, be used as a celebration of the classic television series’Dad’s Army’.
Love the detail and admire the craftsmanship!!
Excellent craftsmanship. I love that a cricket match scene is included. Any shots to the boundary looks like it will require a new ball in play. 👍
Hello ! I think I saw the "Tardis" 😄 !
Greetings from France 😊
Muchas gracias!!!👍👍✔️
Muy linda maqueta SALUDOS de
ARGENTINA Fanático de los trenes
very beaitifull scenery
Very interesting, the modelling is really good! a surprise to see such sharp curves. Motors sounded a little stressed?
Thank you from the cowboys in Oklahoma feeding cows in the snow. The Shufflebotham's
Not just one art has been used in this layout. The art of sound and the art of getting it historically nearly perfect.
Beautiful layout and craftsmanship 😍 Thank you!
Hi , many thanks for the great video, and as always excellent camera work . Do you have any information regarding the music that was played between 6:55 and 9:20, many thanks Simon
This is really cool you are a good guy 👍
slow running makes for authenticity..opening sequence is fantastic, modelling superb....where can you get the bareges from?
Hi David, the barges are from scale scenes and are a printable download kit
Mersi Pilentum! Super!
I find the sounds in the 117 unit don’t sound anything like the one we have at the Epping Ongar Railway!!
Much of the trackside detail is wonderful, but the tight radius curves destroys the illusion on a regular basis. Overall, though, well done!
I love this ❤
Amazing
Awesome layout, but I am utterly confused by the third rail if this is supposed to be set in Cornwall.
The carefully modelled 750Vdc third rail, the NSE rolling stock, and the Brighton & Hove bus suggest that the location cannot actually be Cornwall. Lovely model, however!
Saludos!!
It is NOT by definition a "Model Railway" but an out of the packet "Toy Train Set" with ridiculously sharp curves even a tram would have trouble negotiating. A footbridge that would not be allowed on such narrow platforms (insufficient clearance), and that's just the first 90 seconds. Model Railways by definition are replicas of real railway practice, which DCC actually prevents, and as we see in the first minute reveals its use by the typical jerky train movement, which seems to be associated with virtually every DCC layout I have yet seen ! Worse the layout supposedly depicts a Cornish town but has 3rd rail, which is confined to parts of what was known as the Southern Region, and never got anywhere near Cornwall.
Heya man, where do you buy the front coupling and "cowcatcher" for the 350's? Sucks that bachmann left them out in replace for functional coupling.
If it’s Cornwal why the 3rd rail and southern trains
My favourite is the class 350
Would love to see them going fast
And by the way, this was the era in which I went to school by train or school cab.
Where do I get the London midlands train?
Superb modeling but for goodness sake, really terrible slow running performance! I couldn't watch it after the first 4 minutes! I see this constantly, usually on dc layouts. What's the matter with people? If the trains run poorly as in jerky, stop-starting / hesitant or set of like Usain Bolt then it's all for nothing! It's the number one rule of an operating railway scene, it must run realistically above all else or what the hell is the point in having moving trains on a diorama in the first place? Tiresome.
Hi pilentum, would you like to feature my layout for its computer automation and sound? Thanks!
Hi, please visit this website, www.pilentum-television.com/en/video-upload.htm
I want this 😢
Again, full marks for the effort in modelling the layout, however...
Because of the tight radius curves and the (all too familiar) lack of inter-carriage 'concertina' gangways, the realism is lost, moreover, It is doubtful one would ever see these three different regional DMU/EMU's down 'ere in Kernow...
I give:
9/10 for skill in modelling the diorama.
2/10 for railway stock/operations realism. [lack of detail for inter-carriage gangways, jerky train movements, tight curves, 3x regional railways on a 'local line' ? ].
Pilentum still gets the thumbs-up.
.
We do have some tight curves here in Cornwall, but no line is as tortuous as depicted here, the poor passengers/emmets would be throwing-up from motion sickness on this local line.
Nice modelling, ruined by ugly trains😉 as usual on British layouts.
Quite slow, so it's exactly like railways in the UK
nice but trains do not move smoothly and curves are to tight to be real
I have 1 complaint about Hornby in America I call them 7 -10 times and left messages for them to call me back and not 1 returned call at all. No more hobby for .e they are a lousy company for customer service not buying them anymore sick of them
The third rail is cool I've never seen that on a layout
As someone who hand paints all my people for passenger cars. Love the work this person put in to those cars and they are beautiful!!
