I got four panda garra last year. These are one of my favorite fish. They are curious over anything in new in the tank. They love grazing on my hands when I'm trimming plants or anything that requires me to be in the water. Love this fish!!!

I totally agree, the rubber lip pleco is so underated and such a cool little algae muncher. They're not shy, you see them out and about, and IMO, they are just super cool little fish.

I'm definitely on the same page with you when it comes to panda garras. I have 7 in a 75 and they're definitely very boisterous. They will chase each other around, taking turns who's doing the chasing with no clear dominant fish. But they never do damage or seem to cause much stress. I was nervous about them living with my archers but even they've been leaving the panda garras alone. And every time someone new looks at my tank, that's definitely one of the fish they notice the most.

Definitely agree with the rubber lip pleco being super hardy. Fish store worker recommended one to me when I first started in the hobby and it was the only fish to survive my mistakes. Still alive and healthy as of right now

Recently I changed stocking in my 75g for 30 neon rainbows and i bought 6 panda garras. Planted tank, about hslf a year, was full of algee on every surface - glass, rocks, wood. Those 6 panda garras made it spottles in less than 2 weeks. Im talkimg less than inch fish! Im super happy that i decided to get them, and you are 100% right, one of my favoritue fish now. Active, nice looking, hard working ;)

Love my panda garras, but they are a pain when trying to get new plants to root in! They don't harm them, they are just so active. Cruising back and forth they never fail to knock a few new plants loose. Great fish tho!

something interesting about panda garras, they aren't plecos, or even catfish. They share the same family as barbs and carp (cyprinifdae), which might be why they need a more varied diet than some others on this list. Great recommendations, one of my favorite algae eaters is the yellow rabbit snail, such a giant snail with some amazing colors and shell.

I just put 2 panda garras in my 55g and 1 in my 15g. They came I'm really small. Just under an inch. Repashy is a great food. In fact I did a video recently on Repashy soilent green gel mix. The jury is out....Repashy soilent green is perfect to feed your panda garras the first day. But seriously mine haven't been picky eaters, even sucking up krill nano pellets. But yeah panda garras are very entertaining. Both are mature tanks as well

I have lots of amphibians and some plecos enjoy taking bites out of larger salamanders because of something to do with the slime that a salamander will produce and I'm very curious about what kind of algae eaters would be best for my sirens, axolotls, and other such animals that I own which is quite a few so the Otto's and rubber lip seem great what else would be a good option for something that has baby shrimp or salamander larvae that when they are born would be smaller than the shrimp?

I need a solution to rid my aquarium of miniature rams horns snails. Here's a list of what doesn't work.
      1. Assassin snail
      2. YoYo loach
      3. Zebra loach
      4. Alum
      5. Food Starvation
Please make video on what actually kills miniature rams horns snails. All the aforementioned predators will not attack super small snails.
      6. some of us can't be sold on the benefits of snails with our aquariums...I'm that person! I'm almost ready to give up on planted tanks due to miniature rams.
Reason 1. They breed to fast.
Reason 2. They give the tank an acne appearance.
Reason 3. Most difficult to kill.

All of the ones that you mentioned were recommended for 20 gallons and up. But what about a 10 gallon? What would be a good suggestion for a 10? That's what I have. I don't have room for anything bigger. And I need a bottom feeder. I don't have much algae yet. I do have live plants, 2 white clouds, 2 glo tetras (natural, not dyed) and a male guppy. They are all tiny. Right about an inch to inch and a half. That's it. But they are messy. LOL So what would you recommend?
