I find that they don't have a huge amount of sweetness, but I suppose with enough sugar and pectin, anything is possible! My friend loves eating them off the tree. I'm not sure I love it enough haha.
It's a good question. It's difficult to eat a lot of them. I have so much more than I could possibly use. In the winter video I'm working on now, I think I've filmed myself using them on a few occasions. Dehydrating Kale Chips etc. I used a load of chard in a southern dish also, whereby I cooked it all down in stock with a bit of vinegar. I ate that for a week straight with everything. Got a bit sick of it, better for just one meal with 10 people I reckon!
WATCHING YOU GARDENING HERE IN PERTH, I AM JUST WONDERING IF YOU AND YOUR VEGGIE PATCH ARE SUFFERING AS BADLY AS MY POOR PATCH AND I ARE HERE IN ROLEYSTONE. SO MANY OF MY BELOVED VEGGIES HAVE BEEN BURNT TO A CRISP IN THIS HORRIBLE HEAT.
Passion fruits grow like weeds. They'll take over my backyard if I haven't been pulling them babies out. I love Kang Kong! What dish do you use them on? Mate, Bunnings is loving you 😊😊
Yeah but I didn't get the root stock passion fruit, those are the ones you gotta be careful of planting! Mmm I like to eat Kangkong in any asian dish, omelette, or by itself! Yeah bunnings loves me indeed! haha
Hi waterboi, i agree too much from bunnings! But have to start somewhere. I have upgraded my compost bay to a 3 bay, and have access to green waste from my gardening work, which will help reduce costs going forward. Thanks for commenting.
How do you keep the rats from eking your fruit and vege I'm in success and for the first time this year they are through fruit fly exclusion bag nets and ate my root vegetables eg beets and carrots leaving the tops. I set traps but no goid they wouldn't go near those.
Yeah unfortunately there wasn't much of a harvest during Autumn, but a lot of the planting was harvested in Winter, which is the next video coming out in the next week or so. :)
Great review of your garden and plantings. Your process looks well thought out.
Thanks for taking the time to watch! Your channel has helped me out a lot. Cheers
No more Mr Slug😄
Mr slug is always back!
I’ve heard Lilly pillows make amazing jam, maybe you could harvest them and try that?

Yeah it was a rough time with record low rains and high heat, thank goodness it's raining again! I hope your vege patch has recovered!

I was wondering what the material is that you use to screen the beds off?
If you're referring to the mulch, it's Lupin.
@@digintogardening no, I mean the insect screening/netting
Where do ypu get your mulch and the netting from please.
