I'm so sorry you have been so sick. I am happy to hear you are starting to get a little better. I can relate in a way to you because I have congestive heart failure, A-fib and asthma, which all make it really hard to breathe sometimes. I'm going in for an ablation on my heart tomorrow, which I really hope will give me a better quality of life. It is so difficult to live with chronic illness. I am also an RN. We are really bad at taking care of ourselves. We are just so used to pushing through everything and taking care of everyone else. Sometimes our bodies, though, just stop tell us they've had enough and stop us in our tracks until we're forced to take a little bit better care of ourselves. By then the damage is often done, and we have chronic illness repercussions. I do hope you feel better soon. You are in my thoughts and prayers. Thank you for the video, and thank you for the event. I am really enjoying seeing what everyone is working on. I've only been diamond painting for about 9 months now, and I am so hopelessly addicted. Your videos are very calming and informative as well. You are definitely one of my favs to watch. ❤ 👑👑👑

Nurses make the worst patients I fully admit that lol. It's very true our health always comes last. I am glad you have found diamond painting and our little community! thanks for your kind words too!

Glad to have found you! You mentioned using mica powder on finished Diamond Paintings. Great idea my question is what color or colors? Where do you purchase the mica powder? Thanks for your videos!!

Thank you Pam! I purchased my mica powder just from amazon. but Michaels or your local craft store probably has some too. for me I dislike gaps in light coloured areas. they stand out more so I got a cream coloured mica to use. I use it over any light area. ive used it on a light pink back ground too (see my post review of affirmation). for best effect you want the colour of mica powder to closely match the colour of the area you want to cover.
Hi Alysa, I'm sorry you have been so sick. You are a very strong lady. I still have good and bad days. Seems more bad than good most of the time.
When you were talking about having a disease like cancer, the estimate they gave me was 10 years. I'm on year 11 and still hanging in there. The palliative care shots I receive every 2 weeks seem to be helping, but it's definitely not fun.
I'm glad you felt good enough to be able to film. Miss your wip and chats 😊. I keep missing the wip updates for the event, lol, but I'm almost 1/2 way done with Dragon Seasons from Enablers Outpost. I'll try to remember for the last week unless this is it???😂😂😂
Thanks Christy. I am sorry you still have bad days too. I used to have 100% bad days for 1-2 years. it was hell. just keep pushing through. for me it did improve. I now have more good days. the bad days still outnumber the good but the good days I do have are a nice reprieve. Wow I am so happy you have outlived your estimation. That much bring all sorts of emotions and fears. I know my dad struggled when he reached 60 as they said he wouldn't live past that. I need to film another wip and chat! I will try and film it this week and post it the following Monday.

Ooh, those wax boxes. I bought two of them when ordering the trays and I don't even have wax bars. (I get my wax from Dream Wax Studio in a tin.) They just looked so stunning and could have many uses.💜🤗💜
Yes that is true I was actually thinking of storing putty into it I think the lid closes enough to keep it air tight too. You could also store pen tips in there

Hey! I’m a nurse also and I give my husband fluids occasionally in the summer because he works in the heat and has had gastric sleeve. I Order fluids and IV start kits and catheters online. Just an FYI. Hope you feel better soon!!!!

Oh Alysa, I can’t even imagine how ill you’ve been feeling 😢. You are such a strong, kind person pushing through everything to make videos and run events. May I ask, if it’s ok with you, how did all this illness begin? Hi Jan! Sorry it's taken so long to reply. It all started with a work injury to my arm that damaged some big nerves that led to the other crazy health problems I now have! I am finally almost done with this WIP hope to have a post review in the next 2 weeks or so

Good to hear you are doing somewhat better. I just comeback from New York from Connecticut where I visited my sister who has smoked her life away too and is in hospice from end stage COPD. So I understand where you are with your dad. I am a retired nurse, so I have understanding of those drugs to a certain degree. I hope the new regime will help you feel better. All we can do is take it day by day and hope for the best. Keeping you in my thoughts.

I love you are feeling some better. With advancements in medicine maybe one day there will be some treatments that are going to help. I would to love to live with nature like your in laws. I’ve tried some different trays like you and gifted some I have drifted away from. The rendering of DAC is always so spot on and love that PixieStyx does lots of this. I had to have her new painting that came out this last time. It was such a manageable piece. Once again, prayers and thanks for you ❤
Thank you so much! I do hope in time there will be some medical advancements that will benefit me. Part of my next surgery will be doing a new procedure I will be the 6th patient that has ever had it done.
I hope you will feel better soon. I have a hard time just now. I lost my yungest son 2 weeks ago in suicide. So have working on my Diamond paintings has helpt me alot. 👑

I’m not in the health field, but it’s so interesting to learn about health issues I’ve never heard about. Did you develop these complications as an adult or did you have them as a child? Have they gotten more severe as you’ve gotten older? It sounds like it must have taken years to get a correct diagnosis. Is it bc of your health crisis that you became a nurse? I’m sending healing thoughts & praying for you to be pain free. Love your channel. I hope your dad’s health improves. It’s hard to see loved ones suffer.
Thank you very much!! All my health conditions I developed after I suffered an injury to the main bundle of nerves going from the neck to the left arm called the brachial plexus. There are alot of important nerves that run through there. There is also question if a certain vac cine caused my central nervous system dysfunction 😢 I became a nurse way before my health issues. im in my early 30's I went to nursing school right out of high school! My mother worked as a hair dresser in hospitals so I grew up in them.
Happy to have you back! I like the jewels in the crown, but yeah probably a bit darker crystal would look good.

Happy to hear you're feeling better.👸 Can I ask how the botox is doing for you, it's been a suggestion to me for my migraines?
Thank you! Botox was really helpful! I have received injections every 3 months for 2-3 years now. Sometimes it can make you feel sick. or at least it did to me. almost flu like for a week or so. sometimes it can cause a flare up in symptoms, like soreness in the muscles injected but all that should resolve within a few days. you can get up to 3 months relief from it. We are taking a bit of a break right now to see what happens. I am nervous! It is definitely something I would recommend trying and trying it a couple times.

Can you really tell a difference in the tray with the back porch (where washi tape would go) as far as getting the drills to line up straight & face up? Ty
Personally I don't think so. It's a neat idea but the drills just collect there anyways.

I’m glad you’re feeling a bit better and are at least at home.
One of the things I suffer from is COPD like your dad and it’s hard and some days are really bad. I also have type 2 diabetes and high blood pressure but the worst thing I have is Trigeminal Neuralgia and most days it’s absolutely unbearable. I can completely relate to your constant pain. ❤️🩹

👑🪷 I love how you manage to still stay positive (at least while we're watching) through all this hardship. Every time I here about what you are going through, I am so thankful that I've been able to get help through my own health issues and are mostly pain free today. In the same line of thoughts I do send out hopes and prayers for the universe to do the same for you, and everyone else living with chronic pain🤞❤️

Thank you Nanna! I am glad you are mostly pain free! I have had some success this last time with the proper dose of lidocaine and Ive had some days of zero pain! it has been amazing. Ive been in constant pain since 2018. it wears on you after a while!
