I would love to also believe and wish for that scenario, but there is a lot of footage of hardware abandoned, their best tanks abandoned on the road. There are many historic scenarios where armies collapsed and melted away. South Vietnamese army, the afghan army in 2021, the iraqi army in 2003, there are many examples of such cases. And in most cases we have to remember that those armies fought for many years, in prevous wars and were battle hardened, but one devastating defeat on the battlefield can make an entire army collapse.

There are many historic scenarios where armies collapsed and melted away. South Vietnamese army, the afghan army in 2021, the iraqi army in 2003, there are many examples of such cases. And in most cases we have to remember that those armies fought for many years, in prevous wars and were battle hardened, but one devastating defeat on the battlefield can make an entire army collapse.
