Thanks for the video and the firmware info! It's a shame, I bought 2 2TB devices of this, and both of them suddenly fail and become unreadable. The issue is known not only since May 2023, but long time ago! Of course, SanDisk is never responsible for data loss, and data recovery from a professional recovery lab costs a fortune. SanDisk would only exchange it against - you guessed it, another one of these unusable devices! For everybody that has one of these, make sure you have a backup or throw it far away from you!
Facing the same issue also with the 1TB model. Absolute shame. It worked so good until it got crashed just in one moment when trying to access it. Even so, when I wanted to make an backup to not get into this struggle. Now the SSD is showing me the mi**lefinger :D
@@benjamineisbach5354 bro just now i bohgt the 1 tb Sandisk extreme ssd...not the extreme pro... is this also has issues? i bought it Oct 2023..and in the box it said manfucatured at sept 2023..can you please tell me even you own the same model ?
The same damn thing is heppening with me. I bought it yesterday only. I backed up around 110 GB of data from my android phone and then connected it to my mac and then suddenly while opening a photo it automatically closed and the warning popped up "Disk not ejected properly...." and since then it is not being read by any of my devices. Frustrating thing
I tried stellar data recovery, but it kept scanning my 1 tb Sandisk for several hours without recovering anything. Eventually, had to erase all data to as a last resort.
My 4TB Sandisk drive that I bought this year(2023) has failed on me. I am glad I came access this, though. But it sure does suck. to know that it is an issue with Sandisk, but also confirms that it was not a user error on my part. So I guess that is good and relieving to know. But going forward, I'm not sure of my faith in Sandisk SSDs and their ability to keep my mind at ease with my data. I lost the last two years worth of raw video and projects that I've done 2021-2022. I have tried three separate data recovery softwares, including this one, and have had no luck recovering video files. One software did recover most of the files(iBoysoft data recovery), but once I viewed them I quickly realized they were all corrupted and could not get any of them to play :(
This happened to me too and it was a brand new drive I only had been using for about 4 months! I took mine to a data recovery specialist after Stellar and Disk Drill found nothing and they said my one had a damaged NAND drive and even the professionals couldn't recover anything! I'm so mad! I wanted to join the lawsuit currently going on against SanDisk, as they should not be getting away with selling faulty drives, however the lawsuit is in the US and I'm from Australia so they said I couldn't be used as a plaintiff. If you're from the US, you should join it though!
This fucking suck I paid $2000 to get my files from a crashed/failed External HD do to the death clicking and saved it on to this Fucking Sandisk on two of them and they both failed on me.

Same problems with the new 1TB model. Destroyed everything three times in a week. There are definitely serious issues with these.

Welp there goes all my files down the drain 🤦🏾♂️

I tried this program and it found NOTHING from my SanDisk SSD! (I have over 1TB of photos and videos on it)
Same problem here, this is because of a conflict with Western Digital Drives. Disconnect the WD drives, and reboot
