okay - we have what appears to be this awning (however black casing) and it has a middle pole that is broken - is there a video with the one with a middle pole/brace?

It is designed for mounting into Caravans and motorhomes and not a van railing. There are some special Van awnings you can ake a look at on thule.com.

Show me a video with ONE PERSON setting it up and packing it away, as easily......
THEN I “MIGHT” be impressed!!!
It is often just me going away, so if it is not something I can do easily, I am not interested.

How can you find it that difficult?! Fitted mine in about 10 minutes with my wife and then set it up and take it down on my own. It’s a 4.5m piece of canvas it’s really not that difficult.

Tried setting it up with my dad. The pole that stretches the canvas was the problem.
The lever to put tension onto the canvas just didn't work because we couldn't even pull out the pol enough to reach the area that can stretch the canvas.
My dad and I have lots of experience assembling and building all kinds of shite but we couldn't do this one.
Either its a production issue or we are actually too dumb to figure it out which I doubt.
