As a coach and competitor myself, I consider it was a good trial, however, what I liked the most was the explanation of the trial, in general and in detail, including the dog's and handler's mistakes. This is good publicity for the modality and training in general.
There is also a second part to the BH, off the field to test the dogs temperament to people traffic and other dogs. But a great picture of your relationship with what looks to be a very powerful dog.
Thanks for uploading the full routine. I'm training my female Malinois for our BH and PDC right now, it's good to see what we should be striving for to get those high points. Im low key training for high BH when we do finally trial.
Congratulations Haz and Gage. With some work, I hope and expect you guys to solve Vasko's issues and he will get back on track. I know you would not take on just any dog and he obviously has what is takes to compete . Good luck moving forward.
You guy’s are great, awesome job Gage, and thank you Haz this is very helpful and very informative for myself and others who are interested and trying to learn this sport!!!
With all those puppies I see how you choose for puppy owner Also different characteristic ..some dogs dont pick up that jar but they are very obedient and in this competition they are suitable for according to puppy..category..thanks success ..❤️🍀
Be honest now Haz.. Lol, I would never, yea right. There are so many tricks to use to keep your dog with you, it's not even funny. Huff breath on your twelfth step as you go into your left hand turn. I do a ball drop out of my arm pit in my conditioning. Judge isn't looking I will slap my arm pit like I've got a ball.. This is just the BH. Handler help and conditioning in this regard gets real subtle the higher you go up in titles. Be a good vid subject for you to cover HAZ. 😉
@@shieldk9 definitely a topic I’d watch a video about, especially at what stage do you stop providing handler help, can it turn into a cue, and the competition rules
O.K. The BH is not scored it's eather Pass or Fail.. How can you say High BH? Nice performance overall. Not knocking you just pointing out there is no score given. 😉
Head placement is usually directly a result of where the dog is being rewarded with food and then a toy when training the muscle memory of the heel position
I’m sure this will help so many people! Just knowing what is required and what to expect are the biggest hurdles to clear. Great job Haz and Gage!

That is one beautifully trained dog ! Congratulations to both Haz and Gage!!

I can’t wait to see him advance up the levels!!!
Great job Gage and Haz!

Gage shows his strength and power in these excises not an easy dog!
Way to go!!! The work and the bond you guys have shows!
B-E-A-utiful!!!! Thanks for the vid!! Love that dog
What a dog he is , and what a trainer ! I think it should be extra points for flying into the handler 😆😆
Great video. Thank you so much for sharing this.

I’m looking to start IGP and this was very helpful for learning more about the BH!
Thank you so much for sharing this! We are working on our BH in November and I am so nervous!
Candace, did you get your BH?
Great vid, well done the both of yas!
Internationals all the way🤗
Does the high stepping with the front legs just come natural to these higher level dogs? Or is it something trained?
@xzxOUTLAWxzx lol
felicitaciones gran trabajo
Congratulations!
Remember, your leash must be put away when it comes off the dog. You can't walk away on the long down with the leash in your hand.
Where is he at now? Hell of a BH 💪🏻 🔥
Thank you for sharing, this is very helpful as I’m working towards my BH. How long does the dog hold the long down?
i thought BH is pass/fail as in no score? how do you get a high bh?
This is very comparable to a training level test in dressage. Speaking of which, how is that Andi of yours ?
3:18 did you try to reach for the magnet ball that doesn't exist to get Gage more focused?
That would be handler help! I would never!...

Long down 20
plus urban environment and exam for handler
It is scored and is a trophy category now in most trials 🤷♂️.
Hmm OK. Just remember bieng told to not get too excited when I did mine.. That it wasn't scored.. Grr. ;-)
@@shieldk9what did gage score?
Champs
Why is gage looking straight up?
