Don't waste your time on the Mégane James, just put it up for raffle as it is -people who want this won't mind the paint. Personally I would have spent some time on the C5 instead - probably an easy fix.
Shame about the C5 - I looked at an 06 estate recently - it was going mouldy and was sticky inside and the gas struts were useless! I do like the hydraulic ride (even though it's not as good as the Xantia, and, I'm told, earlier Citroëns) - sadly since 2008 only the exclusive trim had hydraulic suspension ... The 1.6 hdi engine (I had a 55 plate lx spec estate in 2011/12) is a great engine - loads of torque and good fuel consumption. For the next raffle car, would Brooke be interested in helping sort out the paint - your video when she helped last was different in a good way. Bella looks similar to one of the Spanish rescue dogs I got in 2018 - our Foxy has the Labrador double coat and blonde colour with sandy nose and orange tint to her fur on back, shoulders and top of head. She does have black lips and pointed ears though (and bent back legs so she galumphs rather than runs) as well as a bit of a bitchy character ... so I suspect Bella is a much easier dog! Your Mini looks an interesting car - though I'd have to chuck a load of shite out of my garage to get a car in, so a convertible is probably not great. If I could free up space in my garage my wife's P reg 4 door RAV4 would be in it - I need to work out how to get to the solonoid that unlocks the 4WD when manoeuvring. It's got some dents but is otherwise solid and only had ~67k miles ... So I'd like to keep it in good shape To that end when my SEAT Altea XL died (engine ejected the oil) I was talked into getting 2 cars so the Rav4 could rest more. The 09 reg category S Kia Picanto appears to be a good deal at £1500 with 58k miles. With no service history I really should get the cambelt replaced though ...
