- The Originals: Candice King to Appear as TVD's Caroline in Season Premiere
Klaus Mikaelson and Caroline Forbes-Salvatore may be crossing paths sooner than either of them expected.
Candice King will reprise her Vampire Diaries role on The Originals‘ fifth season premiere, TVLine has learned exclusively. Unfortunately, no further details about King’s appearance, slated to air sometime in 2018, are available.
While it’s possible that Caroline will make the trek from Mystic Falls to New Orleans, it’s also entirely likely that her scenes will take place at the Salvatore Boarding House, where Klaus’ daughter Hope is enrolled.
To say that Caroline has a complicated history with the Mikaelsons would be an understatement. Following a tumultuous romance in Seasons 3 and 4 of The Vampire Diaries, Caroline and Klaus eventually reunited (albeit over the phone) in Season 7. A key moment in the show’s series finale involved Klaus gifting his old flame with a hefty donation for her and Alaric’s supernatural school.
At the time of the TVD finale, Plec told TVLine that Klaus’ donation was a “wish, not a promise. … I think The Originals has the opportunity to visit with some of these characters, and I think there are future shows down the line that can be spawned out of this world and could tell good stories.” (Wish granted!)

I'm so excited to see Candice King in season 5 of the originals!!! It's just bringing back so many memories of the vampire diaries for me. Can't wait!!

Knowing Plec and how often she teases the crap outta klaroline fans to get them to tune in for ratings: Caroline will be in the beginning of the episode talking to or about Hope to Alaric or on the phone with one of the originals (not klaus) there will be a brief klaroline mention (so plec doesn't get slaughtered by fans) and that's it.
If klaus and Caroline do speak to each other or hell see each other it will be such a small moment. Fans will love it regardless but I HATE how plec wasted klaroline and teases fans constantly.
Unless Candice King confirms she's gonna be on the show regularly or a regular guest star I'm not getting my hopes up

Ekic 013 I'm glad Caroline will be on the originals. When season 5 start the time jump will be 10 years. I bet Caroline has been keeping Klaus updated about what's going on with Hope, and maybe they developed a real relationship.

Klaroline NEEDS to be the end game. They spent so much time building it up forever, him making her an epic promise of forever, they balance each other perfectly, and she was the reason his humanity was brought to the surface in the first place and why he wasn't just a one dimensional villain. I was annoyed with the whole cami aka caroline knockoff. Let him have happiness, get his family and his girl who has had his daughter with her this whole time at her school. I can't believe this show is ending, it was the last one I had left, especially since I just lost PLL. :(

I've already given up on this show, because I think that this vampire/hybrid/witch/mix/baby still sucks and still does not make sence at all. The most of you will probably have a different opinion..
A least I hope that the show will get better when Candice King joins the cast and she's also the reason why I will watch the Originals season 5.

Angelina Alms The 5th season of the Originals haven't even started filming yet. It a midseason series , which means it probably will not air on tv until after Jan 1, or sometimes in March.

Production starts on Monday, July 24th. Season 5 will premier in March 2018 , and it will be the last and final season of the show. They announced it today! !

Ok. So I don't think that this is gonna work for season 5. Klaus now has a daughter and she is the most important thing from his life, she and his family, which includes hayley to. Caroline is extra. I don't think that she belongs to the mikaelson's so that she and klaus be together for their eternity. Klaus should be with hayley, his queen.

Naru When season 5 starts both Hope and Caroline's twins will be 17 , which means they will be in their senior year of high school and preparing to go off to college so there is nothing wrong if Caroline and Klaus date.
