FYI Perlin is based off Perlin noise which is used as a type of gradient noise used by visual effects artists to increase the appearance of realism in computer graphics. As so, Tytel converted it to a 1-dimensional random mod source. Pretty cool if you ask me =)
If I may ask .. on min 1:35 on the background you have a pretty neat sound witch I am very curious to know how it was done, full note, exported to audio and chopped / repeated chopped midi and the full note length at the end ? Thanks in advanced 🙏

What exactly happens when you run through the sound in 2:51 - 2:58 into the asimilon gate? I am trying to recreate it with other plug-ins (experimenting with gates, compression, side chaining). I am also a newbie regarding sound design.

Sounds like a formant filter. I think it was oxyflux that made that sound (it's a collab between us)
However for these choppy sounds I use a lot loopmash to get the choppy feeling without exporting.

That fast edited bit there i just added the asimilon gate and made some automation on the release time so the sequence notes open and close a bit
