You should try doing a video on the video game Voices of the Void, it follows a source-like aesthetic, and there are dozens of models and maps already ported to source from the game. It's got some seriously cool concepts
What scares me more is that The Behemoth implies this entire ordeal also happened to him. Forcing him to have the same survivorship hardened mentality, chose to not satiate his hunger as if he were a survivor too, and chose to not hibernate or imitate his prey unlike the other Copycats. Either it never needed to play with their food, or it also holds disdain for his fellow Copycats.
Better to go out with a bang by getting eaten by a behemoth than a copycat as the survivor managed to survive long enough for a behemoth to visit him. Thus imo it would be honorable lmao
@@MrbobGameing Adding onto this, if a normal one could break a door, than the behemoth could obviously destroy an apartment wall AT THE ARE MINIMUM, and his lines made it explicit that he could kill him whenever he wanted. Though it makes me wonder if it only takes one or most of the group it's in to be disinterested enough to kill him, because it always mentioned "us" and such, or if they have the same taste or mind.
I think the issue is that by saying "barely making a dent in their numbers," they're assuming it meant tanks couldn't hurt them. However, a different reading to it could be that there are such large numbers of copycats that tank fire couldn't kill enough of them to have any discernable effect. Personally think Surkee didn't understand the subtext on that and just went with the idea that they're invincible in the moment rather than depicting them as a overwhelming weight of force.
To confirm a few things: the tanks barely made a dent in the numbers because there were so many of them, the copycats are able to destroy a door, but they only do it if they can't wait out their prey. The knife thing works because the crimson are the fastest, but also the weakest. They're muscle is also exposed, so that hurts it more.
@Mr.nobody406 i have a question, how does wider parts of humanity handle this ? It seems like there still is some form of civilization left but its slowly crumbling, i mean the power is still running and the mother fucker was paying RENT for a while ? I get the impression that the fall of the city wasn't immediate but definitely quick.
@@Mr.nobody406 In surkees defence your wording made it seem like the copycats were durable because like the narrator said "I doubt the gun will do anything against them" So it kinda makes sense why surkee thought they were just insanely durable.

This is what I thought of within the first couple of seconds. I absolutely love how horrid the idea of that creature is. Someone you know, draped in darkness, waiting patiently in a secluded area for your arrival; an odd but unmistakable insidiousness keeping you from drawing closer. It's cliche by this point, but I can't imagine a worse monster.
10:23 The fact that this behemoth is both speaking full on conversations with someone is very important and dreading to know, more than that they bluntly tell you that if you don't keep moving then you'll eventually fall to them because of "interest", lastly it didn't bother to with killing the survivor leaving you with this dreading feeling. I'll definitely want to see this as a series soon! 🙏🏽

Something about these “hidden alien villains lurking all around us and just waiting to end us all” stories makes me afraid someone’s gonna draw the wrong message from it
"I’ve noticed that the lights have been flickering in the apartments, and that the rent forms have stopped coming in." Imagine being a landlord and still delivering rent notices for weeks while inhuman monsters prowl the streets devouring people.
They are watching his every move studying him seeing how humans act that's why behemoth didn't kill him and told him if he became less entrusting he would get eaten they want to be like humans that's why if you do unique things you might survive because they won't kill you and will study you the more they understand human the more they can speak properly and have more human like shape
One minor criticism is the fact a knife can apparently ward them off while guns and advanced military weapons are seemingly entirely ineffective. I think you should just pick whether they're entirely invulnerable or still vulnerable, and if you pick the latter you could leave some hope by showing there's still some pockets of civilization left, cause as supernatural as they are I don't think they're stopping a 120mm AMP round which can penetrate almost a meter of steel and is filled with hundreds preformed pieces of fragmentation. (Never underestimate how much more brutal humans can be compared to actual monsters) My honest opinion is to just make them entirely invulnerable to keep them spooky lol.
think they're unkillable but they can feel pain. so stabbing one can make them run off for a little bit, but guns and bombs didn't really do much in the long run and the military just got overwhelmed
@@yellowpig1026 i think civilian panic and not knowing much about the creatures is why the military failed and got overwhelmed, they prob are killable by regular firearms, as long you know where to hit them which is hard when it starts chasing you.
Considering the way the animation show how they move, I think they are vulnerable, just fast enough to make a bullet slow but a knife (or other type of close combat weapons) could either one shot if cut right or injure one badly
This is one of the better copycat hotels in my opinion, the variety of monsters and the fact that they are so aggressive because they know they are more powerful is much more realistic for a being like that

Probably my favorite story on here, such an interesting and unique take on the end of the world/apocalypse scenario . I hope this becomes either a full fledged world or even a book expanding on this story
God I LOVE the way how copycats sounds and the way how wacky they move. And their movement matches their figure, but their voice sounds so dread, and it's made from AI that matches their figure. God I love this.
i always love creepypastas- great harkening from the golden days, that the monsters always conveniently would be easily defeated in an urban or indoor environment, whereas they could apparently eat through the steel of military guns, artillery, apcs, tanks, helicopters, jets, nuclear bombs, but not a wooden window or door.
I absolutely love this animation! It's probably the first SFM that has me genuinely excited for the next parts. The story idea may be familiar, but you've put it together in such a unique and interesting way that it feels fresh and exciting. The only part that took away from the suspense was the big monster talking a bit too much; unless he's meant to be the leader or something, it made him feel less intimidating. Still, this is incredibly impressive work, and I'm really looking forward to seeing more! ❤️
I like the think the behemoth is part of a group, that are just incredibly smart copycats that don't need to kill people because it look like they don't kill for food, more for instinct. So just a group of behemoths are just watching this guy for fun and the behemoth that got in just got annoyed that the guy was doing nothing.
I always forget about the military when I see videos like this, then when I do see them in the vid I remember that they have some crazy technology that is often left out
Do you think the reason why so many internet horror stories (creepypasta, ARGs, Analog Horror, etc.) deal with the idea of humanoid imposters since in the digital age, it's very easy to pretend to be someone you're not, and on the other hand, very hard to trust someone online? That's my thought.
This would be a great series if you were to continue this, the mc seems to have alot of depth for how short this is, the different types of copycats are cool too.
This was pretty Good! Definitely better than most horror stories nowadays! [Spoilers] My only complaint is their OPness. like, I hate hopeless apocalyptic scenarios because of how depressing they insist on making it, like it almost ruins the fear and just to make the audience sad. Thankfully, this one at least avoided the obsessive melancholy and stuck to creepy atmosphere and unholy details. I also really like the different variations of how they try and imitate or deceive us. And I ESPECIALLY find it radically interesting that one of them flat out questioned the survivor, if there's ever a sequel, I hope the Behemoth (what I'm calling it) returns and has a full fledged conversation with whatever survivor it hunts, maybe expand more on what these things are, where they come from, and why they do what they do.
I love what you do we all do. What you do is appreciated, very few channels do sfm horror anymore and I’m glad that your still doing it. Thank you I appreciate it
Story itself and vibes are great, however what lets it down is that those 'creatures' for me are hard to believe in. So they can take off a tank yet can't catch a human or a human can stop them by closing the door? It's not like they are even afraid of going into tight spaces, like why can't they break in anytime? Or how the heck nothing can damage them are they ghosts? Seem like they happen to be some form of life. Same with movies like 'A quiet place', I just can't believe those guys can win over humans.
yeah I think they just won't get in uninvited. they're polite like that. don't know about them overpowering Earth's militaries however. never understood that. plot has to move somehow I guess
They did't say that the tanks did't kill just that they were barely able to kill some of them meaning it does kill they are just too hard a target to hit dead on and so can get the people inside the tanks
they can die but given that probably half of earths population are now copycats, the military were probably overwhelmed. And as he said maybe the one that struggled to break the door went into its “hibernation mode”
I liked the detail of that food delivery robot on the street at night, which started to spread back in 2015/2017 and that idea was used here... it's useful and gives the feeling that only robots can really be outside, safe, while these "Copycats" roam the streets ignoring them, because there's no real benefit in attacking them or they're so insignificant that it doesn't matter if they're there or not. It really is like an apocalyptic world, but instead of being chaotic and destructive, it's a decadently slow, dark, gloomy and quiet one, but not without hope.
holy shit this was good some of the best skinwalker-esque horror in ages Ive seen I hope this gets a sequel hell maybe a few this could make a cool mini series assuming the "writer" survives escaping the apartment I think him slipping through the woods could be pretty interesting its apparant fighting doesnt work but the gun could come into the story somehow like he shoots to make a distraction and bolts it or something along those lines

I like the think the behemoth is part of a group, that are just incredibly smart copycats that don't need to kill people because it look like they don't kill for food, more for instinct. So just a group of behemoths are just watching this guy for fun and the behemoth that got in just got annoyed that the guy was doing nothing.
4:52 I refuse to believe that a monster that can take an actual tank round is also incapable of breaking through a wooden door.
It was a misinterpreting of the story. The reason the military failed was because of *numbers.* there were just too many.
@Blue_color_of_control Gotcha.
@@Blue_color_of_control yes. Its like the Walkers from the walking dead
@@Blue_color_of_control So a tank Can actually kill an copy cat then? Assuming if it is just one?
@@pyschobandit4478 easily.
I cannot believe I waited until now to start watching these videos. These are really good.
dude I love this concept and I look forward to seeing more
Really impressive ! Looking forward to a second episode !
I was literally binge watching your videos yesterday.
This has some great potential to become an entire series tbh.
I always forget about the military when I see videos like this, then when I do see them in the vid I remember that they have some crazy technology that is often left out
Bro just made my new favorite video
part 2
👇
Do you think the reason why so many internet horror stories (creepypasta, ARGs, Analog Horror, etc.) deal with the idea of humanoid imposters since in the digital age, it's very easy to pretend to be someone you're not, and on the other hand, very hard to trust someone online? That's my thought.
This would be a great series if you were to continue this, the mc seems to have alot of depth for how short this is, the different types of copycats are cool too.
good creepypasta. nowadays reading or watching an creepypasta is like listening old horror myths in camp with fire in front of you.
This is my favorite one so far, keep it up man these videos are fantastic!
Heck yea, another good video to watch before sleep
Thumbnail: Come on boy. Won't you shake a poor sinner's hand?
Best Surkee video yet.
First time watching this i think this is one of the best horror creepypastss i have seen and deserves to be an actual movie or series
oh my god i used to watch these creepapasta sfms all the time and then i completely forgot about them until these popped in my recommended
Part 2 please this is honestly amazing
This was pretty Good! Definitely better than most horror stories nowadays!
[Spoilers]
My only complaint is their OPness. like, I hate hopeless apocalyptic scenarios because of how depressing they insist on making it, like it almost ruins the fear and just to make the audience sad. Thankfully, this one at least avoided the obsessive melancholy and stuck to creepy atmosphere and unholy details. I also really like the different variations of how they try and imitate or deceive us. And I ESPECIALLY find it radically interesting that one of them flat out questioned the survivor, if there's ever a sequel, I hope the Behemoth (what I'm calling it) returns and has a full fledged conversation with whatever survivor it hunts, maybe expand more on what these things are, where they come from, and why they do what they do.
i need more of these! please make more these are REALLY interesting and i love it thanks!!!
Somehow the way they move having broken animation actually makes it incredibly unsettling
SURKEE, THIS WAS YOUR BEST HORROR VIDEO, graphics immaculate, creepyness10/10, atmosphere 10/10
This VA could get his hand stuck in a garbage disposal and he'd go "well would you look at that, this is immensely painful innit"
I love what you do we all do. What you do is appreciated, very few channels do sfm horror anymore and I’m glad that your still doing it. Thank you I appreciate it
Man i love forgetting this channel exists and then rediscovering it months later with a bunch of new videos!
Extremely high quality stuff!
The story and animation are both top notch. I would love a part 2!
They did't say that the tanks did't kill just that they were barely able to kill some of them meaning it does kill they are just too hard a target to hit dead on and so can get the people inside the tanks
the tank feat was a misinterpretation of the story. they can go down to conventional weaponry
they can die but given that probably half of earths population are now copycats, the military were probably overwhelmed.
3:55 I’m sorry but when it charges the tank it looks like it’s bouncing up and down like a pogo stick, I can’t take that moment seriously.
Amazing how your content is still fantastic as always, really hope the algorithm picks up your stuff!
I never like how some stories make guns ineffective.
I mean, it helps with the horror and the feeling of helpness
@@NPCN-dd8hg I know but it’s annoying to me for some reason.
I mean, it said that the tanks "made a dent in the numbers"
It’s not that they were immune, there’s just too many of them.
I don’t really do that with the monsters I create, it just takes a hell of a lot ammo to kill them.
Dang this actually is good, pt 2 pls, now we know the only alive main character.
Mandela catalogue with the fuq boom
“you know thats plagiarism. im gonna call god when i get home, you’re gonna owe him so much money”
-me seconds before being eviscerated by a copycat
At least the Alternates *try* to look and sound convincing.
holy shit this was good some of the best skinwalker-esque horror in ages Ive seen I hope this gets a sequel hell maybe a few this could make a cool mini series assuming the "writer" survives escaping the apartment I think him slipping through the woods could be pretty interesting its apparant fighting doesnt work but the gun could come into the story somehow like he shoots to make a distraction and bolts it or something along those lines
