Class 1A were pretty close to eachother as you can tell
one day there was a villain attack when they were training outside school grounds
half of the class died
Aizawa announced the new to the rest of the class, they were devastated
a week went by and they still haven't gotten over their friends deaths, lessons were still going on tho
Principal nezu got a call from the "Government" that 1A has to fight and defeat AFO but the other hero course cannot join, the other pro heroes will be there as well ofc
2 days later, 1 week before 1A goes to fight, Midoriya told all might that he wanted Mirio to have OFA as he very much knew he probably won't survive
1 week went by, the fight began, the rest of the 9 students died but also succeeded to defeat all the villains
midoriya was all that's left, the only one that needs to stop AFO, with all that he has left from OFA, he used it and defeated AFO (No he didn't die, he's just unconscious)
but he had very severe injuries and right as hawks found him, he was on the edge of his live, he said his final words and he breathe out his final breath
the one who said "i failed to protect again" was Aizawa, he was referring to when he was at 2nd year of UA where Shirakumo Oboro died

While I feel bad for their parents as they lost their children they mostly just feel the loss of their own kid (inko, mitsuki, and whatever katsuki's dads name is might feel the loss of both of them as their families were close) but aizawa saw all the kids as his children so imagine how much worse that will be (yes i realize that the parents werent the only ones who lost them but there is no pain like losing your own child that you raised and cared for)
sdam, this hit hard- i can just imagine aizawa shacking izuku saying something on the line of "No, you can't leave too. Problem child. stay here!"
