I would say the "beauty" of XG, but they have SO MUCH BEAUTY, so I'll say that the most wonderful thing about XG is they are capable of making so many different sounds in their joints. They have something for literally everyone. The rock version of Shooting Star rocks. The slow down version of Left Right is freaking amazing. XG is UNBELIEVABLE. XTRAORDINARY TALENT.
You have to remember that Coco's role model is Miss Laurin Hill and we all know what that woman is capable of and it makes perfect sense that Coco would want to emulate her idol.
I would love a tribal beat from these girls circa mid 90's but this drop takes me back to the days of The Limelight and Save the Robot days during my 20's in NYC. The only style I'm waiting for from these girls is a hard rap rock drop like Crazy Town's Butterfly or diva rock like En Vogue's Free Your Mind. They're the only girl group that can pull it off when I saw them do a rock version of Shooting Star live on tour. Hinata could be perfect for this style. I love XG but I'm starting to have a tiny problem with them. I feel like they only let the rappers shine the most. For example on woke up all the vocalist had a few lyrics And then in this and more vocal heavy songs the rappers are even singing more than the vocalists. Like poor Hinata barely gets any lines. Because they all go to Maya and Cocona. I am a Maya bias too and I love her. But the company puts the rappers in more. It's like atp they could of just made them a 4 member girl group.
