Spot on 👌.. thank you.. we’ve been thinking about this for a while.. we live in our van so the toilet is used ALOT and as clean as we are it gets a smell to it so we use thetford toilet cleaner but I think this product will clean alot better than plastic and won’t absorb smells like plastic .. thank you ☺️
Thanks for watching Bob, I can confirm that compared to our usual water useageit does use less. I can only compare it to how long I usually hold the button, but it needs a shorter press to flush it clean as there is less surface area. We have been using it since August so had plenty of time to test it out. The cassette takes longer to film which we found a benefit. 😊
Thank you for sharing your experience Steve, and about the sealant. 👍 I found the Twusch a good product, we have been using it since the summer and it does reduce the amount of water we use for flushing. It also has a nice look and finish to it. Enjoy your Twusch 😊
This is a very good product, although I fail to see the reasoning behind Thetford's decision to sell the installation kit as a separate product. Since it is needed anyway, why don't they include it in the box?
@@andrewjones-productions Maybe it makes some sense: if you smash the Twusch during cleaning you don’t end up with putting a brand new fixing kit in the bin when you buy the replacement.
@@stevec6538 Well, that's not really a reason. The overall cost price of the unit would simply reflect the cost of the two packages combined. Perhaps they are allowing for dealerships that would affix the inner bowl using the sealants and tools that they have on hand. Maybe they considered creating a consumer and dealer box, but the cost of creating two large packages wasn't justified and decided to sell one package and the installation kit separately. More information by Thetford regarding what sealant to use would be useful as that would prevent people like myself who already have a caulking gun, nitrate gloves and various spatulas for spreading sealant and caulk in my workshop. I think it would have been enough to include the sealant in the box with instructions minus the other items.
Thanks for the vlog. I was also questioning how you save water. I emailed Thetford and they said “Because of the nano sealing design, "Things" don't stick to the surface of the Twusch. That means you need less flushes, you need less water cleaning the toilet etc. Hence your cassette/ black tank will last a bit longer.” Been a Yorkshireman I think it’s a bit pricey for what it does. 😊
Thank you for watching 😊 We have found that it uses much less water to flush, I put this down to less surface area within the bowl itself.. it does make the cassette emptying less frequent, we found this useful a few weeks ago at a rally where there were limited facilities. I think for the money it depends on how it would benefit you long term. I also like the porcelain feel to the toilet..makes it feel a bit posher 😂 Have a good Sunday Ian 😊👍
Great video! Really nailed the main selling point of using less flush water. Do they label the type of sealant provided? So, is it like a Sikaflex 522 or something Thetford have formulated (maybe there’s no way to tell)??
Thank you for watching and we found we did use less water compared to our usual usage, which was good when we went to a rally and didn’t have to empty it as much. With regards the sealant, I fitted this in the summer so don’t have the packaging to check, I am sure Thetford would be able to provide the answer though. Have a good Sunday and thanks again for watching 😊
@ Thanks for taking the time to reply! By the way, we do enjoy the occasional cameos by Jules. He was a useful measuring tape in the Eriba video (!) and the little bit of you both in Andrew Ditton’s show video was fun to see. Totally get the very professional piece to camera product reviews you now focus on. Nobody does those better.
I have used paper toilet liners for the last 10 years, great solution without the worry of potentially mouldy sealant. I agree with the comment that water saving is dependant on how long you hold the flush button open. Also waste can still stick to ceramic toilet bowels. IMHO a waste of money.
Hi karina useful vlog but i think it should of been a blue job which means jules should of done it and you could of been camera girl, is jules camera shy lol 😂 hubby was on about getting one of these as well as the freshing up set for our van. I take it they are suitable for caravans and motorhomes? Maybe they shoyld think about fitting these as standard in new models makes sense if they save water 🤔 as always, see you in the next one xx
😂 Thank you for watching Julie..love your blue job comment.. The freshen up kit is very good, when we bought a used motorhome we used a freshen up kit, nice to have our own new toilet seat and cassette box. Yes, they fit both caravans and motorhomes. I think this inlay is a good idea, it definitely uses less flush water, speaking from our own experience with it, and it adds a more posh potty feel too. I appreciate this is not for everyone, but certainly something for some! Have a lovely Sunday, we are off to visit some family in Nuneaton so best get ready to go.. 😊😍

Thanks for watching, we were really impressed with this and what a difference it did actually make. Hope this helped. 👍
😂7'20" "I'm going to give my twusch a little dry off" !!!! 😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣
🤔😂😂
Like you keep use up to date with new products 🤗👍
Thank you for watching Neil
Intrigued. Not sure how it saves water though. That depends on how long you press the button?

@@HereWeTowYou may also find that the porcelain cleans more easily from the flush than the plastic bowl thereby using less water.
@normanlazarus1836 Yes, good point there 👍
A great idea from you both and something I’m looking at to keep my caravan toilet looking new.
Great product, we fitted one to our van, it’s been brilliant and the sealant is still white 👍

You did a great job 👍
Thank you Paul, not sure I will be making a career from inlay fitting quite yet but at least I gave it a go. Have a good Sunday 😊

To extract more money from you .....
Thank you for watching, yes, it would have been better to have this in the kit, I agree.

Fantastic idea, no one likes taking a no.2 onto plastic.
Thank you for watching 😊
I remember Andrew Ditton fitting one a few years ago. Think was an early prototype.
Thank you for watching, yes I believe it was..and as far as I know its still going strong with no issues 😊

I am just wondering if it might be a bit quieter to use. I am always conscious of the rattle of wee on plastic at night!
Good question.. not sure Thetford have used that as a benefit 🧐 The porcelain is certainly nicer, in my experience. Thanks for watching 😊
You should have let the husbear do it with his big paws 😂😂
😂😂 Brilliant… he’s a bit busy playing in the woods and eating honey! You’re made me chuckle 🤭
Looks interesting 👍
Thanks for watching
Great idea, but once that sealant around the top of the rim starts going black and mouldy (like all sealants do) it's going to look really horrible
Thank you for watching
Exactly my thought
@don-qb4xb it doesn't Andrew Ditton did his 2 years ago & the sealant is still snow white.
You get all the glamorous jobs lol
😂 Nothing I like more than sticking my head down the toilet bowl.. very glam 😊👍

Thank you for watching and sharing about the liners. I have found I use less water based on my use of the Twusch compared to without it. 😊
Don't those liners fill the cassette quicker?

Don’t use a spatula, you’ll get a much better seal and less mess using your finger
Thanks for adding that tip! 👍
The installation kit used to be supplied with the liner, now Thetford charges extra for it ☹️
Thank you for watching and for that info 😊
What a waste of money. Like another person said . The sealant will go black and smell.
Thank you for watching Keith
What a load of old twoosh.
😂😂 Thank you for watching 😊
