Engineering at NC State

It's no secret that engineering at NC State is a huge draw for potential students. We spoke to engineering staff members and students to see what makes up one of the top ranked engineering programs in the nation.

I graduated way back in 1991 with a degree in Mechanical Engineering from NCSU. It was worth it to get the degree, but extremely competitive. I had almost no fun in college, but I had 3 job offers before I graduated and one internship in Japan. Prepare yourself to study up to 6 days per week and watch other people having fun while you sit in the library. Also, it is almost impossible to get a degree in 4 years unless you go to summer school. It took me 6 years with the co-op program to complete my degree. I took several classes where people failed and had to take the class over again.
