gotta say it didnt tick me off so much this time (the quota gay best friend made me "meh" at first) though since they dont specifically point out all the drama bullshit thats connected to diversity etc. as much as they usually do. it was just part of the story and felt more or less natural IMO.
I don’t know that they were ever really enemies before they were lovers. Cal was pretty ambivalent toward Juliette and then she was pretty much into her, despite the job she had to do. It wasn’t really personal. It was more like it was just a job she felt she had to do then she caught feels. This was more lovers to enemies by season’s end.

I know Juliette was supposed to be timid and shy, but she dominates Cal in the initiation of that first kiss and leading the start of that make out session🔥🥵🔥 The chemistry between these two is perfection. I’mma go watch the whole season again.
And upon watching the whole show, this scene is more impactful when you realize a big part of the plot is her needing her First Kill,, otherwise her bloodlust will become out of control. It isn't just Lust for blood she has going on. And both actresses play it so well!

This show was so wildly inconsistent that I loved it 😂😭
Some scenes are genuinely well written and the actors are all doing a really good job (their chemistry is off the chart)
But then there's always room to laugh at some of the dumb writing and the completely insane music and audio mixing- it's just fun whichever way u look at it 😂😂

The fact that Netflix had the audacity of canceling this show when it got better views then heartstopper and that got given 2 more seasons
Heartstopper was a shorter show. So if you adjust for runtime, they were close in viewership... I'd assume what helped Heartstopper was lower production costs.

This show was all over the place and the visual effects were sending me LOL but it still kept me entertained….mainly because Sarah Catherine and Imani really drive the show…hope we get a s2 because I want to see Calliope & Juliette reunited and see how the families come together to take out Oliver!

The pantry scene is pretty great -I love all the intensity and tension knowing there is this conflict between a vampire and a hunter. Their chemistry is nuts!!

It's nice to hear them say they had fun and to actually see their happy reaction because I've watched lesbian films that I thought was so hot but I eventually found out the actresses were traumatized or that they hated each other. That makes me feel bad as a viewer too.

Blue is the warmest color had a horrible director who abused the actors. Kiss her I'm famous is traumatizing for Tracy Ryerson. She felt disgusted whenever she had to make out with her co-actor because they don't get along. Kate said on a podcast in 2014 and this is on Tracy's podcast that Mia pulled so many stunts that she didn't like but when the show was still on, Kate said good things about Mia. I guess that was just for promotion. Kristanna said that she had a horrible experience on set because of the women. She didn't technically say that she hates working with Kate but she also never said anything good about working with Kate so I'm guessing that Kate is included when she said "women". Auli'l hates Rowan because Auli'l thinks that Rowan has a problem with bisexuality and Auli'l is bisexual.

The first kiss. The kiss by the lake in the woods. And lastly the one in Cal's bedroom. I don't know how they perfected it. But they did. It just felt real. And them rewatching themselves making out they ain't shy at all. My favourite part was when they were on stage of the school hall calling their mothers. But the way Cal makes eye contact with juils. You could see she had feelings for her and cared for her. In honest truth they both went against their parents. But the way the season ended demanded a second season. Because we don't know what happened to Cal's brother with the monsters. And Cal was running back to Juils after she 'broke up' with her. Like did she get to her. And Cal's dad leaving with weapons because Cal's mother decided to free her brother. It's screaming season two. We need to know what happens next because the ending goes ~do the hunters find a way to kill the vampires or the other way around or do they accept their children's love~. It can't end in suspense.we need season two. Hopefully Netflix allows it to happen. There are millions of us begging.
