Goathland

Had a run out to Goathland on the North Yorkshire moors. It was here that the popular TV series 'Heartbeat' was filmed by Yorkshire TV (now ITV). Filmed from April 1992 to Sept 2010 there were 372 episodes, the village still has props from the series, a lot of the buildings still showing the fictitious village name of 'Aidensfield'. Worth having a look around the Railway Station, which still runs Steam Locomotives (pre covid) from Pickering - Goathland.
