Marilyn is one of my favorite to, a sadly underapprecited , underradeted and misunderdstood woman.her life was just a long fight for respect and she have done the best that she could with a traumatic childhood and a mysogynistic society. it's rafraishing to see someone react to her work on youtube, i would love to see more old hollywood reaction
Became a Marilyn Monroe Fan in 1953 when I saw Gentlemen Prefer Blonds even thought I saw her in other films before 1953.Her whole look in Two Little Girls From Littlerock made me fall in love with her.
I dk that I ever loved Marilyn the way that you do, but I always thought she was unique and beautiful. She lived in a time where there was so much sexism and you either were a woman who submitted to all of it, or a woman fightibg for rights, or a woman who embraced and used her beauty the way Marilyn did, and I imagine she got a lot of flack from other woman at that time for it, which is truly unfair. Ive only seen bits and peices if her info, but mostly I just remember the stories hiw she sang happy bday to the president, how she let her skirt fly up over the vent, how she had such a classic voice and talemt that we dont see embraced anymore. I know she relied heavy on alcohol and OD'd but in my opinion the doctors writing the prescription were at fault for many ODs on woman at that time. She truely was a star and its sad hee light was dimmed so soon. I first ran across Marilyn as a kid because of the song "Candle in the Wind" by Elton which Im positive you know, and thats when I started asking about her. When I think of old hollywood I can remember very few names but hers I agree is unforgettable. I will probably remember it even when and if Im 100 years old💗
Marilyn is so tragically beautiful. My go to is Carol Channing. She was so talented even to the end she wanted to be on stage. Maybe you could react to her.
I’m about to comment twice lol but Marilyn has really got me through some tough times and especially gentlemen prefer blondes it’s just thAt type of movie that uplifts u! I Stan Marilyn and have a tattoo quote from her! Thanks for making this video! It made my night!
I watched an interview with Jane Russell who worked with Marilyn in gentlemen prefer blonds and she said that in order to dance in the movie they had to rehearse the same dance until they could do it by muscle memory.
Nice to see a young person appreciate our beloved Marilyn. I'm an old fart LOL, and I clearly remember the day Marilyn died, I was 7 years old and it was the first time I can remember a celebrity passing away. I've loved her my whole life, collected things of hers for years, had a signed check of hers, Etc and this year I fulfilled my dream of going to visit her at Westwood Cemetery and paying my respects to this one-of-a-kind beautiful lady. Great job and reaction!
I love her and have always looked up to her, she was so talented and gorgeous and was the start of embracing curves for girls with bigger features which again is why I’ve looked up to her so much my whole life 🙌🏻 amazing video as always 😊
The misfits was her most underrated performance ever and showcases just how good she could be in more serious roles had she just been given the chance! She was also a very intelligent woman!!
Awesome video! Marilyn was never a dancer, she walked and moves sexily all the time, but she was a fantastic show woman. Everyone was/is in love with her.
For me, her best performance was in The Prince and The Showgirl. So natural and stunningly beautiful and her innate comedic talent is top notch. She steals every scene.
Hey Jordan, can you react to the video of Stacey telling the team they’re lucky to dance I know it’s not technically a dance video but I think it would be really cool
I always wondered who was the first Lady Gaga, was it Madonna i thought so. But then i realize there was a rebel in showbizz way before Madonna. I think Marilyn was the first naughty female musician/actress. Correct me if i am wrong.
Oh I'm sure there has always been. Marilyn herself modelled herself after Jean Harlow who she was obsessed with. Another rebellious blonde before her time lol
Oh you are absolutely right if there is another rebellious blonde before Marilyn time, but i was more wondering about the celebs i know or extremely famous celebs that everyone know. For me i think it started with Marilyn. Others are probably to old to remember for me or a bit less known.
I’m about to take my third test cause I’ve had covid symptoms all week, but anytime is a good excuse to watch Marilyn movies. I’ve been obsessing over her all month again. My next video is a transformation / commentary video on her that I filmed as I transformed into her lol
@@JordanJSparks My son has covid and I develop symptoms. I took two tests today. The first came up negative and the second was positive. I look forward to seeing your video. Isn't it amazing how well she is loved 70 years later. I like watching the extras in the movies, they are transfixed by her. Hope you are well, this COVID stinks. Drink ginger lemon tea!
I love your reaction to Marilyn's 'Diamonds are a girls best friend' number. At 8:50, you can get a glimps of a chorus boy to the right of Marilyn, Robert Fuller, who went on to play a rough and tough cowboy in the 60s TV show 'Larime", with his tight jeans and delicious bulge.
I also love Marilyn's performance in 'There's no business like show business' where she preforms 'Heat wave" with all those hunky bearded chorus boys dancing around her.

What was the quote, Jordan?

Marilyn is a misunderstood phenomenon - a highly talented, beautiful, sensitive woman who was simply too good for this world.

Mark nvt: Madonna copied her, pretty good. But she's no Marilyn Monroe.
I came down with covid and I've been watching M. M. movies all day 👍

This isn’t an MGM musical: it’s 20th Century Fox.
I didn't say it was. I said 'the mgm days' as in.. the days when MGM was the star making studio in Hollywood.
