►Angela Rye is a passionate attorney who embodies what it means to be a “bringer of truth,” and her no-holds-barred commentary has resonated with demographics worldwide. She is the Principal and CEO of IMPACT Strategies, a political advocacy, social impact, and racial equity firm based in Washington, DC. She is the host of the podcast “On One with Angela Rye” and a commentator on CNN. She has been seen on several programs and outlets from Breakfast Club, BET, TV One, and ABC. Angela is a 2019 recipient of an Honorary Doctorate from Wiley College and has been nominated for multiple NAACP Image Awards. She served as the Executive Director and General Counsel to the Congressional Black Caucus for the 112th Congress.

Angela Rye and Charlemagne tha God have given the worse prepared comencement speeches. They recited all the trouble and injustices in the world but not a glimmer of hope and inspiration. We just came out of COVID-19 a little light at the end of the tunnel would have been nice. Some of the gradiate may be going through some shit. May have lost a loved one, or suffering depression. I would have preferred some optimism to lift the spirits.
